Text: “Hennepin County is lobbying through the Partnership on Waste & Energy (PWE) to get the PUC to count burning trash as "carbon-free" energy. This is the type of anti-democratic policymaking that our hunger strikers are demanding comes to an end.

Text: “The 100% Carbon-Free Law was supposed to make MN carbon-free by 2040. On 1/15, the PUC is being pressured to corrupt this law by defining burning trash and wood as "carbon-free". This means HERC and other incinerators would get money that should go to actual clean energy like solar. We are demanding Gov. Walz's PUC not give HERC and other incinerators this lifeline.
