Ok so across the Bond oeuvre (more like oeuf-re amirite) he mentions eggs 116 TIMES

China's electrification bet is paying off. Electricity now accounts for 30% of its energy consumption - 50% higher than the US or Europe.
With 1/3 of global renewable energy capacity already installed, China is structurally more insulated from rising oil prices than most Western economies.
quietly impressed Trump is still generating headlines I never thought I’d see
A solar farm is not like a water and sewerage system though. The former is producing electricity for sale, while the latter is getting paid by the state to provide a necessary service. Doing water badly might increase margins. Doing solar badly would just mean having less product to sell
I’ll never forget watching The Wicker Man with my outer Hebridean mum. “I just don’t know where there got all that wicker from”
Got in a taxi tonight that still hadn't updated to BST. That's a pretty major commitment to GMT. Puts Hitchens to shame
Exactly one year ago today:
A slurring salon
There's a bar in the city library too.

A display of Japanese books in translation, interspersed with Japanese whiskies and other booze
A bar with a a neer pump in the foreground, bookshelves stretching off behind it towards a plate glass window and people seated at tables
If you want to get drunk in a bookshop, Ghent has more than one option: photo 1 is the Japanese section of Bookz & Booze, and 2 is Le Bal Infernal, a 2nd-hand book café. I like Ghent.
Piss poor ratio
Almost every popular show is a 'thriller', but they have - at most - 5 thrilling minutes out of 50. Fucking boring
The needle drops just emphasise how shit the programmes are
tbh I can probably think of something more controversial, but this seems to be my most uncommon
My most controversial opinion is that streaming TV shows are fucking boring. Even the best ones. They look good. They've hired good actors. But they've got zero incentive to complete a story or do anything meaningful. It's art intended for people who are doing something else
Two charts. The first shows Allbirds' share price over the last year, bumpy around the $10-12 mark and then declining to around $2, before shooting up to $17 almost instantly (following the announcement that the business would pivot from shoes to AI). Second chart shows its share price since 2022, which was close to $600 at its peak. The last year's share price, such a rollercoaster in the first chart, is now almost a flat line, but for a very tiny one-or-two pixel rise at the end.
Comic genius in the second chart here showing Allbirds' recent share value rise in context, esp the scale of the little red uptick at the end.
oh hey the Massive Attack/Tom Waits track is out and I have great news if you want to hear Waits sing 'big titty! big titty!'
The soulless, sociopathic orange cunt stands in his suit looking bored and devoid of intelligent thought whilst an Oval Office guest is collapsed on the ground behind him. Fellow guests, able to demonstrate more compassion than the pedo protector has ever mustered in his entire miserable existence, are helping the collapsed man. The photo captures the insipid, disdain Trump holds for any other human being not permanently kissing his fat, wrinkly ass. At least today is one day closer to his death.
Congratulations to photographer Andrew Harnik who has won the White House Correspondents’ Association award for presidential news coverage with one of the greatest Oval Office photos ever captured.
Bottle share got silly last night so I have taken myself to look at some paintings and now I have the trio of liquids for recovery (sparkling water, riesling, and a bloody mary). Dozen oysters soon to follow. See, this is how one recovers from a hangover when you totally don't have a problem.
Pope Leo on an airplane, standing in the aisle, holding a baseball bat.
Say "weak on crime" again. I dare you.
Watching a film on 4OD and it just showed me the same Wayfair advert 3 times in a row
Martin Luther is going to rise from his grave like the fucking Undertaker.
I’m not saying this is easy but an important skill for 2026 is, for an apparent photograph, assessing whether the implied circumstances of its taking could have possibly existed

Now settled in at the Wild Swan which is as good as hoped, really love the decor too. We’re especially pleased to see Coco Wonderland on cask alongside all the other great beer. However, we all know which beer Peri is looking forward to don’t we?….😂
It's a fake, AI generated image. In reality the parachutes were much larger relative to the capsule
