When I had an allotment I would grow lots of different types, definitely worth the effort.

I grow a few every year and have threatened OH I'll need to use his bandsaw to cut them open.

Put them in a plastic bag round the bases and make sure they're slightly damp, should be fine.

It's LOOK-A-LIKE's day, and a lot of movie stars are either a lot older than they're letting on or have some doppelgangers from years gone by...

First, Matthew McConaughey and a Reddit user's great-great-Grandfather.

Mum had strong brand loyalties so when I was doing an online shop for her I factored it in. I used to put non perishables in to get free delivery which is why I'm now using up Nivea hand cream and Imperial Leather soap, which OH says reminds him of his gran's bathroom.

In previous years we've come to an arrangement about my access to the shed but it's very inconvenient ๐Ÿ˜

Looks like I've left it too late to do a big clean out and tidy of my garden shed. Will just be popping in and out quietly if this used. Probably a robin so may be one of several to be chosen from, sitting between the top of the door and the roof.

Learned it a primary school, can still recite it at the drop of a hat.

Have you read the Dave Hutchinson fractured Europe books, they have a similar premis but go in a different direction.

I do a lot of it while collecting for charity, my specialism is chatting to elderly local blokes who worked in industrial settings. That and people who engage through saying hello to the dog when I sit in the town square with her doing behaviour training. I like a chat.

Didn't know that's what it's called. Spotted some on a rough patch of grass near the canal yesterday but forgot to look it up. Every day is a school day ๐Ÿ‘

Nothing like a bracing walk round the frosty garden while the dog tracks the fox and decides the perfect spot for her ablutions. Thank the gods for tea.

Boris Johnson failed vetting, yet Theresa May appointed him Foreign Secretary.

Dominic Cummings was never vetted, yet had free access to Government and Number 10.

The vetting process is self evidently farcical.

I do still buy some undies at M&S encouraged by getting brother in law's 20% colleague discount, but just as likely to pick some up with a supermarket shop these days. Not a lot of difference in the quality if you chose well.

Capri will forever be Bodie and Doyle, not the bland pale reincarnation they're trying to sell us.

Brilliant night for pond watching, newts in abundance, dragonfly larva and great diving beetle plus a gazillion wee beasties. Bonus hedgehog on the way back in.

I'm definitely a different shape post menopause though my weight has stayed fairly steady, some clothes have gone to the charity shop, some roomier ones have been bought, just how it is.

My walk to school for a while involved walking across a scaffold plank over a deep fast flowing mill lade like all the other kids from that end of town because it was quicker than going all the way round. No one batted an eye.

I've been on Tesco for yonks and have been out of contract for a couple of years. They sent me a reminder about that and when I checked it there was a cheaper deal. I don't use masses of data, but I do do some searches when out and about. They run over one of the big networks & are easy to deal with

Weโ€™ve not really used this platform before - so howโ€™s it going?

Are you finding it useful - kind - dog loving - compassionate?

Social media can be tricky and so weโ€™d love to know what you think of @bsky.app - should we be here more?
