12 yr old daughter’s friend just had a birthday and instead of thank you cards or unwrapping them in front of people, she did several unboxing videos unwrapping and saying what she likes about each present and so many thank you’s. I think this generation will be ok. It was thoughtful and pure joy.

I take my kids out to eat, but I almost never order for myself. I tell them I’m not hungry or some other excuse. The fact is that it is so expensive to eat out anymore I just can’t rationalize it for myself. I still tip well, because those people deserve it.
