From all of us at FPC to all of you, who have been with us the whole way, thank you. We hope this isn't goodbye.

We're so proud of what we accomplished in just two years of development - from endless expanses of checkerboards to something that really started to resemble the game of our dreams.

We are rigorous in collecting data, and the data on our team morale and performance is higher than I have ever seen. Despite the challenges, the past two years have been the most satisfying of my career. (7/7)

I also want to thank the FPC team who has made a game that we all should be proud of. I know it's cliche to say this, but demonstrably this is the best team I have ever worked with. (6/7)

We want to thank the Ghost community, our playtesters, and the literally hundreds of people who have given us advice on how to find funding in this absurdly challenging time for our industry. I hope you all will have a chance to play Ghost. (5/7)

If we're unable to find a publisher soon, the reality is that the studio would likely close, and the entire team, leadership included, would be affected. (4/7)

We’re doing everything we can to find a publisher or investor. At the same time, we’re encouraging our team members to explore future opportunities and supporting them through the uncertainty. (3/7)

NetEase Games has been very gracious and supportive of looking for another publisher for our game. However, in the current market environment very few deals are getting made for any game, let alone something on the scale of an MMORPG. (2/7)

I wanted to share the news that Fantastic Pixel Castle’s time as a first party studio within NetEase Games is coming to an end. (1/7)

An in-engine screenshot from the early development MMORPG, Project Ghost. A Tempest player looks on as an orange and white clad NPC dies melodramatically. His arms are outstretched (and possibly somewhat elongated due to a graphical bug) as he topples backward on a wooden platform, his face twisted in a horrible grimace.

The joyous music of the Songbird brings respite to all who might listen. Their uplifting presence and powerful healing crescendos make them a welcome presence upon any Skyship traversing the Drift.

It's time for another Question of the Week!

How much does lore matter to you in your favorite MMORPGs? Do you love delving into deep, intricate mysteries, or do you prefer to skip cutscenes and head straight into battle?
