In the Add Details section of the submission you will now be prompted to select criteria for the meteorological significance of the event. No selection doesn't necessarily mean auto-reject, and a selection doesn't necessarily mean auto-accept.

New features are now live!

You are now able to see your own submissions under the profile on the top-right, including which submissions were accepted, which were rejected and for what reason, and which are still pending in our queue.

Also along with this change we have updated the menu toggles of overlays to be more intuitive and mobile-friendly on these maps. Happy Archiving!

We have added SPC categorical outlook overlays on our radar/sat plots (the 13Z outlook is on by default) and to our upperair plots (off by default, but can be toggled on) for our priority cases.

To add media to an existing case, click the "Add Media" button on the top-right of the case you want to contribute to, and the submission form will jump directly to the third step to add media.

It's not ~officially~ linked to the main page yet, but those who want try the new submission functionality out on old cases can do so via the link above. Note that you must be logged in to submit a case.

Any rejected submissions will be visible from your submissions history along with justification as to why. We hope this will improve transparency on submissions as a whole and improve your overall experience both browsing and submitting your chases.

Note that as part of this change, we will also be applying stricter moderation on submissions to make sure that any and all cases in the Archive are meteorologically significant and do not have incorrect information.

And later in March, we plan on adding a personal submissions history page that will allow you to view your submissions and the cases linked to your submissions.

On and after March 2nd, the old Google Form submission link will no longer be used, so update your bookmarks accordingly!

Submission 2.0

Starting on Monday, March 2nd, we will be moving over to a newer, better submission system for your chases. You will be able to select locations based on an interactive map and select a preset list of tags to indicate what you saw on your chase.
