Work is underway to explore the integration of DwC Humboldt Extension (systematic survey data) into the Australian Biodiversity Information Standard (ABIS).
Systematic Survey data carries richer ecological detail than single species observations, enabling better interpretation and decisions.
Then, vegetation map and underlying data (plot, vegetation classification incl species cover & abundance, condition bench marks, %cleared, pre-1750 extent, threatened species & ecological communities) are published through stdised integrated data services. www.environment.nsw.gov.au/topics/anima...

Integrated vegetation data - It starts with 65,000 Std vegetation plots used to generate a plant community type classification. PCTs provide the main info framework.
