If I have any OBGYN/diabetes experts handy in here, how bad bad is it exactly to run a little hypoglycemic from diet in gestational diabetes?

I can’t really find anything that isn’t related to insulin use outside “avoid ketosis”, but why?

This pregnancy better not give me #preeclampsia again because I will throw hands if they try to put me on a mag drip during my delivery. Yes I’m a PharmD & I know the guidelines & why but no. Miss me with that NNT=63 & NNH=6 to halve the risk for the <1% of preeclampsia pts who will have seizures

1000% switching OB practices when my insurance rolls over in Jan. Asked what my high risk prenatal care would be like & basically the same, more monitoring in the 3rd trimester & then we can schedule a c-section @ 39 weeks. Didn’t ask if I wanted another c-section or TOLAC or anything. Major ICK!

Since I had GDM in my first pregnancy, I think I’m just going to ask the OB to schedule me for the 3 hour glucose test and not even bother with the 1 hour. I know there’s a 40-ish% recurrence rate but I’m not good at beating the odds ever and I’ll be damned if I have to drink that nasty shit twice.
