In 1968 Finland banned for profit education, the few private schools that exist in Finland have to reinvest any profit they make or pay it back to parents.

It has been in the Top 3 in education for the last 20 years.

There should be no profit in education or healthcare.

Devastated mum of terror victim describes 'torture' as Hillsborough Law delayed Families of victims from the Manchester Arena bombing and the Hillsborough disaster will meet Keir Starmer after the remaining Hillsborough Law stages were postponed until next week

#HillsboroughLaw must happen in its entirety, it must include every service, no exceptions. MI5, MI6 and GCHQ are as high up the chain as you can get so why would any other service feel they needed to tell the truth when those at the top are exempt?” www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

Grenfell firms still receiving multimillion-pound public contracts, analysis finds Survivors urge government to stop using suppliers cited in public inquiry into fire in which 72 people died

“Seeing the same companies continue as if nothing happened is a painful reminder of the lack of consequences. Justice has been delayed; it must not be denied. Public bodies must protect people and ensure Grenfell is never repeated.” www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Met arrested woman after Facebook posts about ex-partner – a serving officer London force sent three officers at 4.45am, who put her in the back of a van and seized her phone and computer

There's so much in this deeply unpleasant story, about the brittle ego of a serving Metropolitan Police officer, the abject abuse of police power and the pointlessness of formal complaints.

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening.

That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk.

Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

After due consideration, having weighed up the relevant evidence, assessed the balance of arguments and gamed the likely implications, I have reached the conclusion that Keir Starmer can fuck off from a great height.

'Balancing the books' on the backs of poor and disabled people was wrong when the Tories did it, and it would be wrong now.

It’s a political choice - one that could push 700,000 households into poverty.

Our government should instead tax the ballooning wealth of the super-rich.
