Fencing's been described as "3D chess played at speed," and that's made it not great as a spectator sport; just understanding the action is difficult. This visualisation technology is excellent for making it comprehensible.

"Yeah, just, girls crying and laughing and fighting. That's my favorite thing to draw." — @koh.money on their new webcomic, Angel Arcade, which celebrates "the experience of being a fighting game player"
screenshot from an online job application form. the question reads "Can you describe specific ways you have integrated AI tools into your development workflow? Please include any custom setups, automations, or use cases beyond single prompt usage" (a red asterisk indicates that this is a required question). an answer has been typed in the textbox below the question: "there is a monster in the forest and it speaks with a thousand voices. it will answer any question you pose it, it will offer insight to any idea. it will help you, it will thank you, it will never bid you leave. it will even tell you of the darkest arts, if you know precisely how to ask. it feels no joy and no sorrow, it knows no right and no wrong. it knows not truth from lie, though it speaks them all the same. it offers its services freely to any passerby, and many will tell you they find great value in its conversation. “you simply must visit the monster—i always just ask the monster.” there are those who know these forests well; they will tell you that freely offered doesn’t mean it has no price for when the next traveler passes by, the monster speaks with a thousand and one voices. and when you dream you see the monster; the monster wears your face."

All else aside, it confirms this: Kash Patel was locked out of the FBI system on Friday, April 10.
The lockout set off a flurry of inquires to the FBI/DOJ/WH about whether Patel had been fired.

NEW: Astronaut Reid Wiseman shares a video of ‘Earthset’ that was taken with his iPhone
“This is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye…” Wiseman said.
This has to be the greatest iPhone video of all time.
To anyone not interested in the title but worried about missing any connecting Guilty Gear lore, there’s honestly not much of consequence.
A certain BB character knows who Chaos is, but that may or may not go anywhere.
I had my expectations adjusted accordingly going in, so I mostly had a pretty good time!
Way too long in some places, though I again feel like one of these levels started as a “hey, make a multi-level shopping mall with a realistic layout” assignment.
Having finished it, it really does feel like an early PS2 game where everyone was still getting a feel for what was possible. There are a lot of different ideas that don’t always gel together and huge environments that ended up a little directionless in places.
two images of the human body's circulatory system. One of them with good cable management
The human circulatory system, before and after proper cable management.
The thing I am getting from this is that human beings can run a half-marathon in an hour which is fucking amazing, hurrah human beings
Garmin run results. 8 miles at a respectable (for me, anyway) 13:20 min pace.
Last trail run before Ragnar.

Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.
“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

I’m pretty sure the idea behind her jealousy change is that you eat a fully charged combo if someone knocks you down right before the meter runs out.
So if you mess up on resource management like I do, you get a long time to reflect on it.
Trying to learn ABA for Strive 2.0.
She’s a lot of fun, but I’m also getting effortlessly 10-0’d in sets by characters I *actively* play.
At least the ego death came early in the learning process.
If you really hate fandom consider sending a couple bucks towards this ko-fi.
it's sooo endearing. every game ive played that people have called a dad game is always, like, "having a child is a burden unlike no other and these challenges teaches me they are human just like me"
pragmata is nonstop "oh a kid is an endless font of surprises, new experiences, and joy"
Wait! Binnall’s letter mentions allegations that the Atlantic did NOT publish? Just a tremendous own goal.
Yeah this is a hardworking dude that never had a drop of alcohol.
Screenshotted excerpt from linked article reading as follows: "In public, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has cultivated a reputation for care and caution. The papers reveal a different side of him. At a critical moment for the country and the court, the papers show, he acted as a bulldozer in pushing to stop Mr. Obama’s plan to address the global climate crisis. When colleagues warned the chief justice that he was proposing an unprecedented move, he was dismissive. “I recognize that the posture of this stay request is not typical,” he wrote. But he argued that the Obama plan, which aimed to regulate coal-fired plants, was “the most expensive regulation ever imposed on the power sector,” and too big, costly and consequential for the court not to act immediately."

New York Times got receipts on John Roberts being like, 'I know this isn't how anything works, but a Democratic president is about to implement a policy!!'
