Same, though I'd love a smaller footprint than this XL-ATX and had my sights set on an O11D Mini. If my CPU cooler wasn't slightly too big for it I'd be sorted 😕

PC Part Picker put my DDR4-3000 at roughly the same value. The temptation is to carry that over to a new (old) motherboard and CPU but, y'know, the Möbius loop.

Enjoying the odd bit of PC gaming again and opening the door to the mere thought of upgrading parts in 2026 was a mistake.

You have access to the good stuff, right? 😂

An elderly lady clocked me wearing a 3M Aura in the GP's waiting room among the cacophony of coughs.

Lady, quietly to her daughter: "Ooh, he's a bit young to be wearing a mask, isn't he?"
Daughter: "You should be wearing one really!"
Lady: "Oh no, it's only a dry cough."

🤦🏼‍♂️

A lovely nod to avid LOTR fans in this episode of 800 Words.

Kena: Scars of Kosmora Announce Trailer
Kena: Scars of Kosmora Announce Trailer YouTube video by Ember Lab

The best news to wake up to in quite some time! I've been routinely checking the Ember Lab site hoping for news of a sequel, fearing they had abandoned the industry. Couldn't be more excited!

You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.

Ohohohoooo I know that feeling all too well! 😂

I'm eyeing up some of the Anavrin kits for later on the year. Damn targeted ads succeeded for a change.

I think I saw this one on display recently. In broad daylight, that is 😋

Was there much paper folding involved?

Have you seen this?

Think I might've seen one of those somewhere, possibly in B&M. It's surprising what you can find rummaging through their shelves.

No. No. Stop it. No. There'll be no Goldilocks squandering. "Oh, that Pokémon set is so expensive, but THIS? Well, so cheap! So small! So practical in comparison! Yes, I'll get it and have funds left over for other things. Yes! YES!" This way madness lies.

I'll admit I'm irrationally tempted, especially with the GWP, but while looking at Himeji a few days ago I told myself Lego wouldn't be a desirable use of the gift card. I still haven't gotten around to sourcing a case for the Chiron, which this set would easily dwarf.

Selling each starter separately would've been better for the cost-conscious. That base alone must make up a hefty part of the piece count. Smaller sets are supposedly on the way though.

Compensation for 10 years of servitude 😅 Doesn't quite cover this set though!

If I wanted to squander a gift card that recently came into my possession, the new Lego Pokémon set would be one hell of a way to do it.

The latest of my infrequent toe dips into K-drama has been to watch all of 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' on Netflix in a matter of days. I hadn't anticipated it being quite so heavy. Nevertheless, I loved every minute and it goes straight onto my recommendations list.

Still waiting for someone to grab a hold of a rope and break us out of this free fall.

Aaaaany minute now.

I gave Claire Saffitz's "dirt bombs" recipe a try this evening. Warm cakes dunked in butter before being rolled in cinnamon sugar are about as decadent as you might imagine. 🧁🍽️

Apple TV has done a lot to improve my perception of the brand in recent years. However, it'll all be for naught if Pachinko isn't given the chance to conclude properly while Invasion(?!) is still churned out.

If you sub just to watch Pluribus, please dig Pachinko out of the menus. It's magnificent.

A desire to play Little Rocket Lab has progressed as follows:

- Still no Switch release date? Boo!
- Spend even more time at my desk to play it on PC? Nah.
- Steam Deck?
- Steam Deck OLED seems a better option...
- At that price, may as well look into a complete PC upgrade.
- Existential crisis.

Played around with the usual milk bread recipe by adding cocoa and chocolate chips. The results are pretty good! I might try a chunky chocolate centre next time for more oomph. 🧁🍽️

COVID booster number I've-lost-track done. I think the pharmacist might've hit a vein again. If the last instance is anything to go by, I'm in for an especially rough time over the next few days.
