I am very grateful to be able to support @maximumfun.org - independent media only exists if people support it and I am very lucky to contribute to the podcasts I love

Nardwuar, Kareem would be cool just cause I know he's a lot more insightful than subway takes; George Stroumboulopoulos (not sure if non-Canadians know who he is), Ebro
The prophecy has been fulfilled!
I'm sure it inspires Vasilevsky and Kucherov
The Tampa Bay Lightning fans chanting U-S-A while their best players are Russian is peak Florida-man behaviour
In 2003 I went to Coachella, and during the festival a plane flew over the grounds with a banner for Radioheads Hail to the Thief. I suppose if marketing makes a band a psyop then Radiohead is a psyop.
"You miss 100% of the Alex Inc episodes you don't watch" - Wayne Gretzky
Geese is pretty good; I really liked Cameron Winters solo album which is also a psyop.
Elliot and Griffin are battling on my timeline for Max Fun Podcaster with olive green shirt, glasses and tastefully greying hair
Cleveland's attempt to do this with Miles Straw and Andres Giminez benefitted the blue jays, so you could say it worked out decently in the end

There is, of course, exemptions that people can apply for but enforcement of any tax takes effort - but really not particularly complicated www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/...
I live in a jurisdiction that has a tax like this in place; home owners in designated areas have to declare annually if the home is their primary residence - they can only have one primary residence. If it's not their primary resident they pay the tax
Age comes for all of us but I love seeing Trout out there at centre field and not sure the angels have any other options that would have gunned the runner out ๐คทโโ๏ธ
It's easy to dunk on the 34 year olds arm because it's not what it used to be but he's hardly the only centre fielder with a wet noodle for an arm.
According to Savant he's about middle of the pack - and registers a stronger arm than the Yankees centre fielder.
He asked my name and I (probably more defensively than I should have been told him and then asked where my wallet was). He took it from his bag and politely left. I was still in disbelief, but now holding my wallet -all the cash and cards untouched.
People are good.
When he approached my front door I was a bit uncertain why a stranger was at my house so early. When he said he had my wallet I was skeptical and confused. English wasn't his first language and he handed me a note. I was confuse. I still don't know I had lost anything.
Last night on my bike ride home from work my wallet fell out of my pocket. I didn't notice that I lost it. This morning a gentleman came to my door with my wallet. It was soaking wet from being in the rain all night. When he came to my door I still had no idea I had lost it.
Pretty much every MLB team is either 9-7 or 7-9
The Blazers, man
Car brained maga people will have no choice but to scream at the bike lane user while defending the r*pist - it's well played by AOC. But also seems like a lot of US progressives are using bikes in their campaign message, which is great even if mildly pandering
I'm Canadian so my opinion on U.S. politics is superfluous and I tend to really like AOC, but if you think it's unintentional to post this while using a bike lane - then I'm not sure what to tell ya ๐
Politicians know how to frame their messages
He is coming back from Tommy John surgery; the unfortunate reality is that he was probably overworked coming back last year and has either re-aggravated the tendon or another injury. There is speculation that he accepted his one year player option because he'd fail to pass a physical
I don't really agree with that assessment; but fair - I trust Kent to maximize trade asset value. I doubt Hage is the type of player that they would trade (especially cause his trade value is precarious until he signs an ELC). I'd love to see Hage asap but also see a world where hes on team in 27-28
How come? Want him for this years playoff run or think it doesn't bode well for the future?
I'm excited to see him play but lots of guys take three years in college - considering the depth of young players on Habs and rocket roster, doesn't seem bad to continue developing in college
@seanjordancomedy.bsky.social saw this and thought of you ๐
It's disappointing and perplexing when School Districts are "forced" into making such poor decisions.
The School District funding model makes it very easy for districts to blame the province and the province blame the districts, as students suffer
That's a ridiculous comparison; students probably benefit significantly more from music programs than math class (sarcasm)
