I found that my writing burnout went away when I stopped caring about turning it into a career and largely stopped worrying about what other people thought of my work, about which of their sacred rules my books violated.

Trump’s tariffs have raised Americans' costs by thousands of dollars. Many were deemed illegal by the Supreme Court. Now the Trump admin is refunding the companies, but not American households.

Corporations get their money back. Families don't.

The particular danger of turning out Black males this way is a whole other, much longer thread. This is a universal. Have heard it from every ethnic group I've ever met.

It's not "girls are raised different." Strike that last word. Having well-fed boys with boundless entitlement is not raising. It's disservice. To humanity, as we are all seeing.

But "the way things are now" worked for them. Both got sugar mamas. If anyone who knows them and me is here now ya know.

In my brothers' cases a WOMAN nurtured deep-seated hatred of women. Hi, mom! Not by being hateful towards them. Exactly the opposite.

Know what's infuriating? Being "the only girl" with brothers and seeing EXACTLY where all this bullshit comes from.
