Great article. It’s especially frustrating being in games (often a white space with a white audience) and having folks attribute linguistic disconnects to not being online enough or young enough when it’s really a lack of understanding of Black slang and/or AAVE.

With all due respect, as a gamer with one hand, the people best suited to helping disabled gamers are other disabled gamers. I don't appreciate the implication that the disabled community is one that's in need of saving by someone whose just challenging herself in the games.

Just a quick annoncement: From here on I'll only be streaming on Saturday. Times have changed over these past 8 years and I'm afraid that my passions have turned towards youtube video and my free time over all is a lot more limited. To be candid, I wasn't entirely sure if I wanted to continue streaming at all but I can say after these past couple weeks that I do. new announcement. I've done some thinking and I realize that I can't fit streaming into the schedule I have right now. I am taking a course 4 days a week and working 5 days a week and i need my weekends to relax. So, I'm going to make a return stream an event. On December 20th, I'll be off from work for a month and not earning anything. I've saved so I'm not in danger, but it will still be tight. What I intend to stream is not quite a subathon, it's more of a subathon lite. My idea is that I'll going through the dark souls series, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring All Bossses randomized. What makes this not quite a subathon is there is no timer that subs will add time to. The whole thing ends when we kill the last boss. This way the run can't end before it truly finishes. There is only the single goal, lore stream at 500 sub points. I did this because i haven't been the best art honoring these met goals and I don't want to make more promises. This is also because I want this to be a chill series of streams. So, the idea is that I'll start in dark souls (no randomizer for demon's souls, unfortunately) and end in elden ring (once again, i don't know sekiro enough to do this challenge in it) and if anyone one would like to contribute to help me, it would be appreciated, but, no pressure. I anticipate this as my favorite subathon -esque stream, because randomizers are some of my favorite mods to do in these games. The return marathon will start December 20th. I will try to stream daily, like the other subathons. So, hope to see you all there.
hello @everyone first I want to say that I'll need to push back my return stream back a week because I need more time. But, you might be pleased to know that, while it's not the official return stream, I will be going live this Sunday at 2pm est with a special Firekeepers event called Tarnished Hearts. I will be playing Bloodborne blindfolded with CrazyGeyGoose. I will be on her channel, guiding her through the game first, then she do the same for me on my channel 3 hours later at 5pm est Ofc my ability to chat will be severely limited with being blindfolded, but it should be a fun romp all the same. hope to see you there
Hey y'all, I have some news. Most pertinent part first, I am returning to streaming. When? November 15. 2 weeks from now. Does this mean I'm ready with my no roll run? No. Since my last post I've picked up a job and am taking a 10 week course so my schedule has been demolished. No roll has proven to be the most challenging thing to prepare for as well, so, I've decided to bench it further but continuing to practice in the background. Instead, we're going to be doing something challenging still but less daunting. All Bosses No Hit Speedruns. I currently have the record at 1:35 but strats have advanced far since I got that and we can shave off minutes now. I appreciate all your patience with me. This break was greatly needed and I'm glad to be back. In equally exciting news, I'm in the recording process for my first youtube video essay, discussing disability representation in Fromsoft. Hey, everyone. Big announcement time. I am not satisfied with the quality of streams at the moment, for multiple reasons. I have not been able to dedicate the time I need for this run and content has been lackluster as a result. The other reason is that I'm simply burnt out on streaming and I want to focus on my other passions like writing and starting my era with youtube. I just need a break. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long but it's definitely necessary. This is not a hiatus from Twitch, mind you. I'm still gonna be saying dumbass shit every where in peoples streams, don't you worry.
