I have achieved artificial general intelligence in my game, but my AI just keeps killing itself over and over again. Any advice?

This landing was done entirely by the autopilot. It's also capable of takeoff and navigation, but landing is the most complex mode.

The whole thing is driven by like 10 PID controllers.
