Yeah. Still doesn’t cease to amaze me. Plus Max is 13.

Actuallly Max (the one pictured) is my second. Winston my third, at least as an adult. We had two when I was in high school.
Does he do the typical nibble-lick on hands that dachshunds like to do. I've had to let my neighbors kids know that, no, he's not actually going to bite them.
This has become one of Max’s favorite positions and I’m just like how is that comfortable?

I think it's underestimated how much work is ahead in rebuilding civil service if/when the Democrats regain control. It's really going to add time to recovery to try and get actual experts back in.
Also hope Dems don't forgo firing the Trump loyalty hires on the basis of adhering to norms.
In a way it's refreshing to hear a CEO say it this bluntly given how many are telling their employees "No, we don't want to eliminate your job. We want to give you more tools so you can focus on the things that matter."
Government regulations aren't always perfect, but they are generally beneficial in protecting the public from abuses that companies will freely do. All you have to do is look at how many companies would rather pay settlements or fines instead of addressing actual issues.
IMO if they are starting to throw out Ossoff's name in these statements, they are starting to see him as a real threat.
Lol. Even if this happens (it doesn’t), what kind of idiots would use a mark that would be picked up by the first person passing by to notice it.
Whenever this happens, someone should immediately ask him to explain what he just read.
Reminder that Winston makes absolutely ridiculous noises when trying to get Max to play with him.

Maybe it's me, but shouldn't it be a nonstop news item that Kushner, the President's son-in-law and with no administration role, is involved in negotiations?
Another excellent option.
I almost went with that one. There were some other good options like Sneakers and A Few Good Men, but ultimately I went with My Cousin Vinny.
Unpaid internships should be eliminated for sure. It's a tool to keep opportunities more accessible to already wealth & connected families.
I used “their” instead of “there” in a post and now I shall dwell on that for the next 7 hours.
It doesn’t even have to be direct assistance. For instance, their could be a risk you took that others couldn’t consider because you have strong family support behind you if things fail, even if that support was never needed.
I’m living this post right now. In my defense it was 77 yesterday and it’s 42 and windy as heck today.
This being right above a NY Times Pitchbot post in my feed is perfect.
This reminds me my next colonoscopy is set for the second Monday in May.
One of my favorite silly giant items are the crosses you see at different points on the Interstates, letting you know that there is an adult store at the exit if you are so inclined.
My sensitive leg hair is my superpower for tracking ticks, so...basically same thing.
2 things possible here, both of which can be true, though I think for most MAGA/Republican officials, it's the latter.
1. They are incredibly stupid.
2. They think their supporters are incredibly stupid and gullible and view them with such contempt they think people will accept this.
I'm sure it's up for a position in the admin or DOGE.
People love to feel valued in their job for their knowledge. While I'm sure there are exceptions:
A server loves to hear you ask "which of these items would be your choice".
A wine store employee loves hearing "If you had $50 to spend, which wines would you choose?"
And many others.
Whenever no tax on tips is brought up, it should be required for reporters to ask the person whether they would prefer no tax on tips or a guaranteed living wage and health care.
No tax on tips is one of those things they throw out there trying to woo people to take $1 now at the expense of $10.
It drives me nuts that we would very much solve real problems and benefit people, but both the centrist and right side believe that the problems every day citizens face are their own fault, even if that problem is just "being poor".
I'm basically atheist at this point, but if there's a God who wanted to put humanity to the test, I can't think of a much better way to do so than seeing how many people rally around brain-damaged Randall Flagg.
I guarantee you that MAGA cult folks are already taking the position that Trump was a great and misunderstood President and the reason he ended up a barely sentient pile of goo is because we were all historically mean to him. NYT is already prepared to run the article.
I think a Guinan origin story would be #1 for me. First season leading up to the Borg scattering her people.
Get someone like Danai Gurira to play the lead, with maybe some Whoopi voice narration to tie in.
