Two prominent, living donors are now asking for their remains back as a direct result of the current leadership's actions and policies. The leadership of the Mütter Museum is actively harming the institution and needs to be stopped. whyy.org/articles/mut...

A year ago we launched our petition, which has since garnered tens of thousands of signatures from all over the world. Huge progress has been made. We are bubbling over with pride at what has been accomplished by a scrappy group of neurodivergent queers. Fun fact, the man loved hot pink silk.

We do not know what her future holds but we hope it is bright. This is yet another crushing blow to the institution. We wish Anna all the best in whatever she does next. #muttermuseum
Anna Dhody is no longer the curator at the Mütter. The news is buried in the latest member email and nowhere on social media but we think people should know. Anna devoted nearly 20 years to the Mütter and those who love it. Her exit is a huge loss for us all.
Our team woke up to the news out of Baltimore and wanted to express concern. If you have people in the Baltimore area, reach out to them. This is going to affect a lot of people, for a while, not to mention the missing. 🫀

Funny how they don't mind the "icky stuff" when they can sell it.
Roses are red
Violets are Blue
Without weirdos like us
The Mütter Museum would have no revenue 🫀
THE MÜTTER MUSEUM IS A UNIQUE AND INVALUABLE MEDICAL HISTORY MUSEUM, BIO-REPOSITORY AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION NOT A CONTEMPORARY MUSEUM OF HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Now here we are 30ish years later, they're at it again. Unfortunately, Gretchen is no longer with us. So it's up to us. Call, email, post, tag, share. The people who want to ruin the Museum have been defeated before, we can do it again. Read the quoted article here:

Did you know? The Board has tried to ruin the Mütter Museum before. In the 90s, the Board and leadership tried to steer the Mütter away from medical anomaly, from "death", and from "attracting too much attention". Lucky for us, they failed thanks to the incredible Gretchen Worden.
Had the misfortune to curate a show @ the Michener Museum while Kate Quinn was the director. In 30+ yrs of curating, it was the worst experience b/c of her. She is now destroying the Mutter Museum. @whyyyyy.bsky.social did a story about her employment history, but now it has been taken down.

like Project Home or Broad Street Ministry or the Health Department even. Instead, the leadership chose to display an art project with minimal real scientific information. It's a huge missed opportunity and a real disservice to an incredibly vulnerable population

People experiencing homelessness are faced with insurmountable barriers to care, stigma, violence, localized epidemics, higher rates of mental illness and substance abuse issues not to mention disenfranchisement. The Mütter could have produced an exhibit that highlighted the very real current and
We've been trying to think of the best way to describe our feelings about the Unhoused exhibit currently at the Mütter. Homelessness is a very real public health issue that has persisted throughout history.
