it even rhymes! Ability to duplicate, right to replicate, let's GO! This does have a nice synergy and I've always really liked the Right to Replicate document. Having something similar for "Ability to Duplicate" sounds really good to me, @gadom.ski and love the way you laid it out.

studio.camp is at the MoMa! So incredible to see Shaina, Ashok, @batpad.bsky.social and the rest of CAMP crew's work last week. I've learned so much from Sanjay about videos over the years -- for telling powerful stories of people and places. www.moma.org/calendar/exh...
CAMP is opening a show at the MoMa! Those in New York, please come for the show! I'll be there the last week of February.
Am a huge fan of all the work CAMP has done and always proud / honoured to have played a small part in its being.
moma.org/camp - come hang out in New York!
Love you, Áine! ❤️ please ask friends in New York to come for the show. I'll be there the last week of Feb.
Hmm looks like minio does not support multiple ranges either "to keep compatibility with s3" - github.com/minio/minio/... - this is very sad. I'd be really interested in benchmarking this because instinctively it does seem like being able to fetch multiple ranges in a single request would be great.
Super interesting! Do you see this potentially having real performance impacts in being able to "batch" range requests or does it feel more just like an interesting curiosity?
😢 hugs - such an amazing human being, i feel so honored to have had the chance to meet him. This makes me sad everyday.
Working with geospatial data? @kylebarron.dev is a name to know. As a Cloud Engineer at Development Seed, he’s one of the data engineers that are changing how we handle large #geospatial datasets on the internet.

i really like working at @developmentseed.org and you could too!

My favourite bot on here is bsky.app/profile/late... - random georeferenced old maps from allmaps.org :)
Gukesh!!!!!!!!!!! So close now, let's GOOOOO! #chess
I have a very vague memory about a reference to someone else because of the bit with "the sister" in To Ramona - from Paul Williams' biography I think. Can't find my copy rn - will post here if I manage to dig it up :)
So nice to find a Dylan nerd corner on the internet :)
Is this true? Is there a reference somewhere? For some reason I thought To Ramona referenced someone else. It's one of my favourite songs and this would put a lovely new twist on it :)
Thanks for writing this up @bdon.org ! And the bot is already one of my favourite accounts :) #oldmaps cc @jeffme.bsky.social
Large Geospatial Models.
What could go wrong?

Would love to have a longer, serious conversation around this, Sasha. I know many folks in the Geospatial community who would be very interested in digging deeper into issues around large Geospatial models ..
For bleeding edge discussion about decentralization and risks with bluesky:
First read this on why bluesky is not as decentralized as you might think:

Then read this response from an ATProto dev giving more explanation for their choices

Wow, it's been like 22 years since we were doing Indymedia Bombay and I was a clueless 19 year old.. @schock.cc do you know if there's any existing writing on indymedia in the global south? So much to try and unpack..
cc @majdal.cc, one of the folks running Palestine Open Maps..
This is incredibly cool, congrats on the launch! And so great to see the OSM US family of projects grow ❤️
Physiotherapy / back update: everything hurts. But the shooting nerve pain down the right leg is significantly better.
Kids, you too can spend your 20s and 30s slouched over a computer with terrible posture to experience such joy.
@zacdezgeo.github.io i made a thing to easily convert gif to video in browser: batpad.github.io/gif-to-video/ lemme know if that helps.. :) And thanks for the recap!
Someone had to say it - no they won't.
Love Visions of Johanna from the 1966 at Albert Hall (or was it actually Manchester) but if I'd to pick one, somehow Just Like a Woman from the 1971 concert for Bangladesh really gets me: youtu.be/kIBxQ1SAXe0?...
Everyone should follow @schock.cc
for us from Canada. When it came to signing my CD, he signed it "Sorry I'm not Bob Dylan". I was quite amazed that he remembered our first interaction the previous year. It was very sweet, and it gave me my most prized possession :-) n/n fin.
Leonard said he was leaving that evening, but would be happy to catch a beer with us the next time he was in town. The next year, he was back in town, and reminded him of the beer plan - he was extremely nice about it - called us to his hotel, where we got a beer, and he had called for CDs 6/n
I don't have any CDs to sign and guess I'm in a weird mood, so when Leonard looks at me I just go "So, you've met Bob Dylan, right?". I really don't know what exactly made those words come out of my mouth. But Leonard just gave me a bemused look.
My friend asked if we could hang out more. 5/n
I'm just really cranky at this point - after having been woken up and not really into the idea of chasing a celebrity anyway. As we are leaving, we see Leonard Cohen in the corner of the room. My friend instantly turns into a teenage fan, taking out CDs for him to sign, to sign for his girlfriend 4n
