Today we're celebrating the 20th Anniversary of two masterpieces!

Mother 3 - my favorite game ever - and Ōkami - my favorite game as a kid - were both first released on 20th April 2006 in Japan! 🌻🌸

Always wanted to have a Game Boy Advance! Now I do :D

Got it! Happy to support creators that I like.

Beautiful box art, and the game comes with a mini artbook as well as a code to download the OST.
Music is composed by Takuya Hanaoka (Super Robot Wars series), with opening & ending themes by Noriyasu Agematsu (Final Fantasy BE)

Chapter 3 done in Shining Force III.

The 2nd battle was the hardest for me in this chapter. The following ones were quite long but much easier, especially after promoting most of my characters!

20 years ago today, the Dragon Quest series was making its debuts in Europe with the release of Dragon Quest VIII: The Journey of the Cursed King!

Lightning Returns only gets better the more I play it, it's a very fun game when you properly engage with its mechanics.

I’m over 20 hours in and haven’t gotten bored yet. Very pleasant surprise, especially as someone who didn’t care much about the XIII saga

Excited to play Etrange Overlord once my copy arrives!

It's a new Musical ARPG developed by Gemdrops (Star Ocean 2 R)

- Written by Sohei Niikawa (Rhapsody, Disgaea)
- Character-design by Shinichirō Ōtsuka (Re:Zero)
- Directed by Yūichirō Kitao (ex-tri-Ace who also worked on Rhapsody)

Cotton Fantasy (Switch) ✅️

Good modern shoot 'em up, got it on sales. Not the biggest fan of the art style, but fun gameplay, multiple characters to play, and amazing music easily make up for it.

Completing my Final Fantasy XI quest with Rise of the Zilart and... Seekers of Adoulin!

FFXI Seekers of Adoulin was the last PS2 game ever released in Japan, in 2013, in limited copies (in the West, only PES/FIFA14 were released slightly later)

It's now the rarest piece in my entire collection!

Today is the 17th anniversary of Muramasa: The Demon Blade on Nintendo Wii.

It's a game I've been meaning to play for a while. Since I've finished Princess Crown recently, I guess this will be my next Vanillaware soon!

Spent the afternoon playing Shining Force III

Combat is good but not even my fav part. Gameplay loop & open-ended structure make the game addictive.

FF7R's combat is like an improved version.
However traversal is more fun in LR. Controlling Lightning always feels so snappy, while Cloud has a stick in the ass whenever theres "parkour".

Lightning Returns deserves more respect for what it does great. Gameplay is some of the best in the series!

I loved the desert. There's a big dungeon underground and as you explore it, you unlock shortcuts; and more NPCs are joining to explore. It feels organic and coherent.

Since I'm done with Princess Crown, time to start my next Saturn game.

First time playing it, but somehow Shining Force III feels so nostalgic.
Sakuraba's music, the typical Camelot UI and characters animations, the rotating camera... 😌

It'll be FF2 themed and everyone dies

Making progress in Far East of Eden Zero.
It's quite fun with some original mechanics, and really one of the most beautiful games on Super Famicom.

The main drawback is the VERY high encounter rate (and the game is barely balanced around it, so you quickly feel overpowered)

Happy birthday, Atlus.

Another studio that peaked on the Nintendo DS, right? (it's missing Devil Survivor yes)

Got some great things today!

Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess on PS2, the 4th expansion of the game, with yet another gorgeous artwork from Amano. Getting Rise of the Zilart next!

And Lunar 1 & 2 on Saturn, because more Lunar is always welcome to the collection.

Since I've finished (and loved) G.O.D: Growth or Devolution, I'm now starting another niche Super Famicom RPG!

Far East of Eden Zero has the particularity of using a real-time system: events, shops, etc are changing in the game depending on IRL time. Also, you can raise pets!
