As others have mentioned, music - including singing, possibly playing instruments if there's muscle memory to carry through.
We found nature documentaries and animal & travel shows good for family viewing.

I just learned last night that there is a town called Cohasset in northern MN, and was weirded out by this bc it's a town in Massachusetts & it's a Massachusett native name.
Friends were confused by my confusion, I said "it's like having a town called Bemidji in Arizona."
Yep! Like the Dakota & Anishnaabe names around here.
I was about to counter this with a party I was at last night that didn't have any of those things... but I have to admit I had to explain the House of Toast twice in the course of the evening, so not really a counterexample.
New Jersey is good at place names.

Last time I was in the NYC subway I was trying to figure out which card machine I needed. Random guy behind me said "Where you goin, where you goin?" I said "Brooklyn", he said "Either one, either one!"
There was a machine open he could've used, but he helped me and waited for next!
The @nytimes.com reporting reveals more about the dysfunction and poor leadership at the Supreme Court. These revelations underscore the brilliant observations of @mjsdc.bsky.social , @audrelawdamercy.blacksky.app , and @nanagyamfi.bsky.social at our 14th Amendment Ctr symposium last week.
See these people sitting on either side of Slusser's photograph? They were in it. Adhikari found them - and now they got to see their protective goddess come home.
We already KNOW how to make super babies, you eugenicist creeps! And it's all the things you fucking fucks are fucking up! THREAD!
In heavy traffic, 169 to downtown is WAY faster by bike than by 394 etc.
I mean, Asia Mall is in Eden Prairie, and it's pretty cool, but United Noodles is literally yards from multiple bike paths, so...
Yeah, to me the strangeness of the texture has tp do with the development patterns. Unlike anywhere else I've spent much time.
It has a really interesting texture. Which part of it are you in?
Seems likely eventually. Thank you!
I trust your acumen here enough that this comment is what prompted me to actually read the piece.
Good post by a history prof, in the genre “What most people don’t understand yet is …” — although, in my experience, a lot of the academics it’s addressing do grasp what’s happening with agents, and just really wish it would not happen.
Can’t shake the Devil’s hand and say you’re only kidding.

Almost like universal design is good for everyone, or something.
I'm having some hearing issues (maybe temporary) and can I just say how glad I am that I am already extremely used to insisting on mic usage whenever remotely technically feasible.
Like, it used to be for other people, but at the moment it's super great for me!
Suuuuch a big if.
🤨
Almost anyone else, I might charitably guess they only know them as bodegas, but 1) he doesn't deserve any form of charity and 2) there's no WAY he knows the word bodega.
A reminder that the sirens will go off a second time today, at 6:45 pm. Do not be alarmed. It's for the Toddmergency.
(For the sailor's safety.)
I really hope that picture had all metadata stripped before (or if not before, immediately after) reaching a reporter.
Lots of screaming children infesting the neighborhood today (laudatory)
Oh, that's vile. I'm sorry.
Ugh, I know the type.
Next time they purport to speak for artists, remember the major labels hired SCOTUS super-litigator Paul Clement (again - he also fought their losing battle in Cox v. Sony) to attack artists’ rights to reclaim their copyrights globally. www.billboard.com/pro/major-l...
Yesterday they decided if nobody shows up the Judge holds the hearing anyways and has to side with the absent DOJ.
