Those are the 9 bills I expect will get Royal Assent this session.
The committee stage of 3 others with carry over motions occurred this week too:
+ Courts & Tribunals Bill, which continues next week
+ both the Armed Forces Bill, and the Representation of the People Bill finished this week
9/9
The Children’s Wellbeing & Schools Bill continued it's ping ponging, with the Commons having a second round of considering Lords amendments.
It too is back in the Lords on Monday, with 4 remaining areas of disagreement to consider.
If needed, it will go back to the Commons again on Wednesday!
8/9
The Pension Schemes Bill saw the Commons consider the Lords amendments this week.
This now goes back to the Lords on Monday, where motions covering the 11 reamining areas of disagreement will be considered.
The Commons have more time to consider it again set for later in the week.
7/9
The Victims and Courts Bill was considered by the Lords this week and is back in the Commons on Monday to consider the one remaining area the Lords voted to change.
Hopefully this too will soon be going for Royal Assent.

The Lords pick up the Tobacco and Vapes Bill bill again on Monday.
With just 1 motion to consider and no further time allocated in the Commons at the moment, I'm hopeful this important public health bill will be agreed on in the Lords and then head off for Royal Assent to become law.
5/9
Both houses considered amendments to the Crime and Policing Bill this week, reaching agreement over many.
It now has 4 remaining disagreements, and is back in the Commons on Monday, with more time allocated later in the week if needed.

In the Lords 1 bill completed it's report stage and passed 3rd reading.
English Devolution & Community Empowerment Bill
It now goes back to the Commons to consider the 170 amendments the Lords made. It is unlikely to conclude next week, with the Commons giving extra time for it on 27th April.
3/9
Two bill completed their passage through Parliament and now await Royal Assent.
Grenfell Tower Memorial (Expenditure) Bill
Ministerial Salaries (Amendment) Bill
Also still waiting for Royal Assent is:
National Insurance Contributions (Employer Pensions Contributions) Bill

This week Labour have been pushing ahead to finish up their legislative agenda ahead of the King's Speech on the 13th May, which will mark the start of a new Parliamentary session.

“The New York Times has obtained those papers and is now publishing them, bringing the origins of the Supreme Court’s shadow docket into the light. The 16 pages of memos, exchanged in a five-day dash, provide an extraordinarily rare window into the court, showing how the justices talk to one another outside of public view. A Breakdown of Five Days of Secret Supreme Court Memos April 18, 2026 Writing on formal letterhead, but addressing one another by their first names and signing off with their initials, they sound notes of irritation, air grievances and plead for more time. In addition to the usual legal materials, they cite a blog post and, twice, a television interview. They sometimes engage with one another’s arguments. But they often simply talk past each other.”
A reasonable bet that these days the very online Kavanaugh and co are rubber stamping Trump regime’s decisions via secretive shadow dockets based on content they are taking in through not just through right wing cable tv but its massive conspiracy filled online media. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/18/u...

Believe me. Anyone banging on about losing Starmer is only making it worse.
This is what frustrates me, if you actually look at their record and what they promised they are on track and delivering left of centre policies. However even those on the left can't see it. The media has spread so much misinformation that we are all being brainwashed.
I would rather have an honest Prime Minister who makes a few mistakes than a corrupt lying one like those who take money from Private Medicine Companies of who profit from insider deals.
Take a look at the legislation passed over the last 2 years and tell me which aren't left of centre.
Don’t agree - there’s a lot of respect for Starmer including a recognition that the media is trying hard to bring him down.

You always have to pay attention to what is actually happening, not what Trump says is happening. Because Trump lies about everything. Too often media serves as Trump’s daily stenographer, passing along his propaganda verbatim.

I thought Trump said the war was over, we won, the strait was open, and they were giving up their uranium? What happened with all that?
EXPOSED: How Viktor Orbán Bankrolled the Network Around Reform UK
As Hungary’s Prime Minister suffers a historic electoral defeat, Byline Times maps out how his government’s funding arm channelled hundreds of thousands of pounds into organisations at the heart of Britain’s hard right.

**COVID-19 BEREAVED FAMILIES FOR JUSTICE** --- Nigel Farage MP Leader of Reform UK Millbank Tower 21-24 Millbank London SW1P 4QP 17 April 2026 Dear Nigel Farage, We are writing on behalf of Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice UK, a group formed by people whose loved ones died from Covid-19 and who have fought ever since for truth, accountability and the changes needed to save lives in future. More than 230,000 people across the UK died from Covid-19. It is therefore deeply concerning that there is an emerging pattern of Covid and vaccine conspiracy theories among Reform UK candidates in the upcoming local and devolved elections. These falsehoods are an insult to those who died, cause real pain to the bereaved, and put public health at risk. Recent reporting has linked Reform candidates to a series of Covid and vaccine conspiracy claims. David Booth, standing for Reform in Croydon, was reported to have described Covid-19 as a "staged event" designed by "powerful forces". Glenda Hall, a Reform candidate in Sunderland, shared material asking whether Covid was the "hoax of the century". Emma Clatworthy, a Reform candidate in Wales, was reported to have shared a claim that people were rushing to get a vaccine that "can kill them". Kenneth Morton, a Reform candidate in Scotland, reportedly liked posts describing Covid-19 as "a psychological hoax" treated with a "fake vaccine". These are serious falsehoods about a virus that killed more than 230,000 people in this country, and about vaccines that saved millions of lives. When people seeking public office promote claims like these, they lend them credibility and put public health at risk. Yesterday, the UK Covid-19 Inquiry published its Module 4 report on vaccines and therapeutics. The report says Covid-19 vaccination programmes are estimated to have saved 14.4 million lives worldwide in their first year. More than 450,000 lives were saved in England and Scotland up to March 2023. But it also highlighted the need…
