Free as in this is all A18 rejects that they would normally trash, this is a recoup of old hardware in every aspect. They will loose margin when they run out of those but they aren't dumb and keep the price. They pay for the RAM but they can eat the 2-3x surcharge there and still make a profit.

Qualcomm has very competitive hardware on paper. Apple Silicon lost the head start the past 2y but even if MS managed to catch up on the Kernel side the margin stacking will kill the price everytime. The vertical integration is giving Apple an enormous edge thats impossible to beat right now

Their ability to just eat it in a supply crisis is giving them all the power to destroy a large portion of the market this year. I don't think a lot of smaller manufacturers will survive this.
Not just Windows fault, nobody can compete on value with this. Their SoCs for this are essentially free.

"AI is garbage, bro, it gives you wrong answers like half the time and the other half the time makes you stupid."

Overheard a middle schooler chastising a fellow student for suggesting they use AI. Whole middle school herd started mocking the AI kid.

...We need to let these kids at the tech bros.

yea, usually the idea that something blows air from the front and forces air through the fins but could also be that this had some more weirdo datacenter setup. Figured given its a PCI-e card type thing it probably has the more traditional front blow fan

would probably work better if pointed frontal and not sideways, some random 120mm fan laid ontop might also do it at not absurd loud volume lol

DHL Express will deliver to any domestic DHL address.
You can do it with UPS to their Access Points but its a bit painful. With FedEx its impossible in Germany unfortunately.

Revenue created by defrauding customers is still not legitimate revenue, just because there is cash does not make it a legitimate business

sure but the function they have is not exactly irrelevant, loosing your exterior observation view would probably be pretty bad

I get it for the hobby rocket crowd but fuckin wild to go with those for a high profile NASA mission.
Its decent cameras but not exactly... good

as in that government does not attract power seekers or that the private sector also has that issue? Would disagree strongly on the former, totall agree on the latter.
To me its all about watering down power structures to reduce the possibility of extreme accumulation of power

in a private service of something that is by default a public service/good.
Allow the private service but ensure that no capital interest is involved f.e.
Other cases can be more clear cut, like train tracks and road infrastructure, there isn't much potential for diverse needs there to begin with.
