If you’re a net oil importer and don’t sell too much to the US, it’s a pretty good day

Brent down 4.75%, usd index down 1.75%. Oil just got cheaper 6.5% for non US buyers

It seems like there is at least one certainty: if I’m a ceo of a US company I’m delaying investment projects to see where the dust will settle down

If Trump tariffs cause recession I’m loading up with oil stocks, anyone who survives 3 recessions in a decade will have bright future

Thanks. As I mentioned I hate this sector pretty badly but there seems to be some capital cycly staff going on so might take a look 🙏

I absolutely hate this segment and everything commodity-related but at the right price we should take the risk, right? It’s not religion after all

Last deal they made was at 4x ebitda for a biz growing 20% yoy and being market niche leader. Not bad!

Private equity loaded up with these companies in 2015-16-17. Now they want to exit without much/any buyers. Buyers’ market, baby

They just closed facility that was able to meet global demand in their market segment. Capital cycle stuff, capacity leaving the market blah blah blah

State of oil services now: I own a company that’s trading at c. 6x ebitda and buys other oil services companies at 3-4x ebitda (that’s 6-8x p/fcf); last 8 years revenue per share cagr = 21%. I know, I will get rekt on this one but at least it’s going to be fun

There is a category of cyclical stocks that are flat for decade, then double or triple in a couple of years and stay flat for another decade
