that said, charging a few hours overnight at 3kW a few nights a week is totally fine for my use-case ...

apparently the Leaf is the downmarket BEV and I don't think there's any thermal management on them at all ... at least, not ours anyway ... also, if you are looking at an EV, be sure you understand how it charges - the AC port on mine is 1ph ... tops out at 7kW iirc - 3ph is 21kW, but DC 80-120kW

I got my 2022 Nissan Leaf precisely because it could do V2G, but only via the high-current DC ChaDaMo port ... despite trials in Canberra and Adelaide the box with the gubbins to connect it to the the house was *almost* available in Victoria - then JetCharge opted to go with CCS2 and here we are ...
