In 2024, as @greenparty.org.uk co-leader and newly elected MP I pushed for rent controls to be included in the Renters’ Rights Bill, but Labour wouldn’t listen.

This Saturday, I’ll join thousands of tenants, and 50+ unions and grassroots groups, to demand rent controls now.

It's well past time to do away with Council Tax, a deeply regressive and unfair tax whereby the poorest households end up paying a much larger proportion of their income than the wealthiest do.
