A country reclaims its European path.

Fascism is not inevitable.
It seems strange that the nation’s diplomats never seem to be part of these overtures.
Instead, people who have partisan or investment credentials lead these talks, and then they are surprised when their opponents’ diplomats prevail — or, at the very least, don’t settle for what is offered.
There are other ways to hold people accountable. Retroactive civil liability. State criminal charges. Bar licenses. Extradition to The Hague.
