If you’re lucky - you can submit to NEJM and get a case report…! 🤣

Also make sure enough blood wasted if drawn from the propofol line.

I like a fresh phlebotomy stick when confirming an unexpected result (same goes for a weird K or glucose)

This week marks 10 years since I arrived as an intern to the US. What an incredible journey! A residency at @nyulangone.bsky.social and #PulmCrit fellowship at @upenn.edu - where I am now lucky enough to be an attending. A wife, two beautiful kids, and a Great Dane!

Who would have thought?

This is what we were waiting for. A direct comparison between apixaban and rivaroxaban for the treatment of acute VTE. Apixaban reduces bleeding risk in the first 3 months by >50%!

Practice changing investigator-initiated RCT.

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.
