When I feel myself losing hope, I try to focus on my family, my neighbors, my friends, and my immediate community. There are a lot of things I can do there that truly make a difference in other people's lives and my own. I also try to remind myself that history is cyclical.

Aside from the victims' pain, the most horrifying part of this - as always - is they thought they would get away with it. So confident of it they ran for high profile public office. What does that say about how untouchable (ahem) men feel? About how sure they are women will be too afraid to talk.
