I am struggling, everyday testing the limits of my Cymbalta. The worst part, I have no desire to read or listen to books. Books have been my escape since I was in single digits. Now as someone in their early 50s, I have no desire to read. Any suggestions for breaking this reading slump? #bookhelp

Distraction post: My boy,Casey, turned 21 on Friday. He sleeps more but still can jump on counters/tables.

Conversations w/ friends now consists of comments about 1) our most recent colonoscopy, 2) how our 401k plans are doing, and 3) how to avoid injuries during winter snow & ice storms.

Finally finished Babel, the last of 10 books read in December. The best was The Hero of Ages. I found Babel to be well written but at times off putting. I am breaking out the Poppy War trilogy in 2025 and I know I’ll like it.

Tomorrow’s brisket is in the oven! Tonight’s ham is in the crockpot! When Hanukkah and Christmas collide interesting things happen in interfaith families! Thankful for my parents kitchen where I can make family meals. #revolutionaryHanhkkah and #MerryChristmas.

I rescued two Cornish Rex senior ladies earlier this month. This little love bug is a sweet velcro cat. She even snuggles under blankets. #cats!
