incredible penalty kill shift by the Flyers. They really deserved that goal

Copilot menu screen in which useful links are gone, replaced with vague ones like "Library," Teach," and "Create," which do...nothing
Now I sign on to find a spreadsheet the registrar shared, and even the apps are gone. It's all Copilot now.
Bonus: not only are none of those links what I need, but every single one is broken! That's right, this webpage does NOTHING but prompt you to talk to Copilot. You can't do any actual work.
At some point all the useful things got buried a couple of clicks deep, under "Apps," which was massively de-emphasized in favor of "Please use Copilot!"
(Our institutional subscription doesn't give you anything special on Copilot, and the unadorned version is practically useless anyway!)... 2/3
My school is a Microsoft campus, and what's become of the main office.com interface is so emblematic of AI enshittification. Used to be a nice listing of the apps I actually need (mostly OneDrive, but also Forms, Teams, others)... 1/a few

I just wish tech companies would work on solving the problems people really want to solve
"I'm looking for Princess Diaries 2," says the 7-yr-old as she flips through Disney+, following a sequence from the menu's recommendation of Freakier Friday, through "You Might Also Like" The Parent Trap, then Princess Diaries, then her destination.
Is this what people mean by "digital native?"
You should really only be listening to whole tone music. It’s got the whole tones in it. A lot of these artists, they use semitones, which is just half of the tone and trust me, it’s not the part that’s good for you. It’s basically junk.
Way too on the nose. The writers room is high on their own supply and need someone to reign them in. "And we'll show that he's a complete dumbass and a fake Christian by having him think the verse from Pulp Fiction is real!" they laugh as they finish off another dry erase marker at the "ideas" board
According to Humanities Indicators, humanities majors work across a wide range of sectors, earn substantially more than non-degree holders, & report high job satisfaction. The "unemployable humanities grad" is a myth. We need more humanists.

You know, you really don't see a lot of people breaking the first two commandments these days. He's already broken pretty much all the rest of them so you almost have to admire such thorough blasphemy.
all these universities kept axing medieval history departments as if they thought tyrants beefing with the Pope was going to stop being relevant
damn aaron swartz tried to warn everybody about sam altman
in-laws in town for Easter. Their minivan inexplicably has a sport mode and paddle shifters, so I'm heel-toeing* it over to Wegmans, as one does.
*yeah I know I don't need to do that. I don't need to be making engine noises with my mouth either but is that stopping me?
Mina Kimes and the Sickos Committee are here now though so honestly that's about 75% of what I want out of a sports media ecosystem
oh no worries, it's shamefull. definitely a guilty pleasure at this point. And along with the sports teams there is a huge amount of rubbernecking. Sometimes I'm just in the mood to see what kind of crazy stuff before you feed is going to serve up today.
Neoliberal Consensus: College should be about ROI
Humanists: Um, no
NC: Sorry yes
Humanists: Ok your premise is flawed but also humanists have really strong ROI data and have for decades.
NC: We're pivoting to AI

The dispensary in downtown Frederick completely reinvented itself over the last year or two. It started out with edgy neon signs, almost looking like a tattoo parlor. Now it looks like an Apple Store.
I still have a Twitter account, though I haven't posted in about a year and it's no longer on my phone so I don't check it much. But what amazes me is that I see almost 0 posts from the real people I follow. Nobody is there. It is all sports teams, local news weather that's it. Everyone is gone.
Whoa...
SMT had several of these a couple of years ago, targeting regional chapters by impersonating their officers. A few websites hacked too. I believe they were all as obvious as this or even moreso, and no one got their hands on any of our massive, four-digit endowments...
You don't need flavored coffee. It already has a flavor. Coffee.

I read about this and then sought it out specifically to block it. Then I went and blocked the White House since somehow I wasn't.
A student of mine just won the college's big writing prize in the humanities, for a paper she wrote in my class.* And yeah, I pretty much feel like this.
*shhhh it's supposed to be a surprise nobody tell her
As the laws of physics state that music theory can neither be created nor destroyed, this discrepancy has mystified music theorists for decades. In fact, Society for Music Theory exists solely to study the mysteries of "Livin' on a Prayer."
Quick, somebody call Architectural Digest
(I'm realizing as I approach the finish line that we have chosen to paint our foyer almost precisely the same shade as the main reading room in Harvard's music library.)
(I mean if This Old House has cross-stitch episodes I will just teach myself that too, but I learned long ago that I do not want to learn anything handy unless the person teaching it has a Boston accent.)
Going to have my wife do a teeny tiny cross-stich to go in here, which will say "The internet said it was easy"
teeny tiny picture frame that I made all by my widdle self, using a borrowed miter saw.
After baseboards last weekend, it's crown molding today. Warming up teaching myself some remedial woodshop.
We get such bad fascists that they cant even keep the trains, er, planes running on time
To this day I'm mystified as to how a term paper I submitted for an undergrad class in the late 2000s is on Google Scholar, listing me and prof as co-authors. My gmail account was in its infancy, and it was never published or presented. Strange things happen in the bowels of Google platforms...
