Treat night!
Full disclosure - I am part of the team on this. But nevertheless this is a stunning first episode and a fascinating listen.
I just signed the campaign calling to say NO chlorinated chicken on our supermarket shelves!
Excited to see @jonwestaway.bsky.social and coeditors’ great collection in my local independent bookshop @grovebookshop.bsky.social Was going to offer to do signings of my chapter but thought again!
Lovely to have the new Leeds Playhouse AD visit our school last week. Insipiring stories for our students and a great plan for the theatre ahc.leeds.ac.uk/news/article...
I love this. And I have it above my desk at home, next to an entire OS map of the Western Lakes, which I’ve used as wallpaper! Thanks for sharing.
So much history on the @universityofleeds.bsky.social campus and much of it brilliantly navigated by heritage corner for Black History Month. Joe Williams is an inspiration. Here he is outside my school of PCI. A bonus to walk round with @bethjohnsontv.bsky.social
This is the finished item.
It’s a rice and lentil dish from the levant. Got this version from Ottolenghi. Cinnamon raises it up to some thing pretty heavenly.
Mejadra on the way. Ooh the anticipation!

@lner.co.uk big shout out to Carley at Leeds today. Charming and incredibly helpful in letting us move seats to help my wife with her injured knee. LNER you’ve got a great colleague there. ❤️

Brilliant place to read my birthday present and to celebrate the poets curated by @helenmort.bsky.social in this fab collection. That Norman McCaig poem on Climbing Suilven is my favourite!!
Staying in a treehouse for my birthday and sampled the bird life through song on Merlin. So rich and varied.
