The rejection of EEA & anything short of full membership in the years following the leave vote was what landed us with a hard Boris Johnson Brexit. If we want to start the journey back to the EU let’s not make the same mistake again by demanding all-in immediately. Let’s start EEA & see where we go.

Reading stories of people who missed their flight due to delays at the border leaving the EU and saying they have to wait 4 days for the next flight. Just for info, in Europe they also have things called High Speed Trains…

Heard earlier that he has gerrymandered the constituencies so even if he massively loses the popular vote he may still have enough representatives to win.

External antenna burned off or damaged?

I think Steve is referring to the fact that iPhones now have satellite voice comms built in.

I guess the window glass is metallised which will probably block iPhone satellite signals. So they need a phone with an external antenna.

I guess when they power the systems down the main radio link will shut down which is why they needed the SAR or SAT phone to communicate. The extra 15 minutes must be required to ensure all systems are disabled in the event there is no comms between the crew and the SAR team.

The story I have just read said he has applied for an ETA yesterday which was refused. You wouldn’t apply for an ETA if you already had a full visa for the required purpose.

I reacted quite viciously when somebody asked me if I was looking forward to ‘Holibobs’ recently - they won’t do that again!

The Danes got away with this for centuries. Pay our sound dues or you get sunk by cannon fire.

So today was the big day - the launch of brown bin food recycling. All the new bins in my area went out as instructed this morning….. and were not collected. So much for our councils insistence they were ready!

Absolutely not making any excuses for the behaviour - just stating what I observed. And it isn’t a widespread behaviour amongst all outdoorsy men, but perhaps more common because of the type of person who is attracted to high risk activities which are inherently selfish.

Having been a keen mountaineer back in my student days it is inability to adjust testosterone fuelled competitive male behaviour to a different scenario where a certain amount of caring for others welfare is required. It is not a sign of weakness to turn off the ego when appropriate.

Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe. We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s Military capability, but it’s easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are. Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated. In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Days after declaring total victory and boasting that no other military could match the US, Trump is now begging other countries — including China — to send warships to stop his Iran war from spiraling into catastrophe.

A galactic humiliation.

As it is an ‘Internet service’ rather than broadcast TV they can do little about it. Which is ridiculous as soon all TV will be delivered by the internet.

One thing I will say for these right wing outfits - they know how to maximise the number of eyes that come across their propaganda, willing or not. They are winning the war of influence and the left and centre has insufficient organisation to fight back.

Just got another saying it was my last chance to win a beaver wetland experience. My wife doesn’t think I should enter.

What is the definition of ‘coalition forces’ in the context of this war?

Are they Red Bulls? 😂

Hopefully it means centre right in the German CDU sense which would put it to the left of the current Tory party. But I doubt it!

Except that geographically (seeing you are talking continents) Cyprus is in the Middle East. It is only Politically and Culturally European.

Just stated on the BBC news that Cyprus has protested ‘in the strongest possible terms’ to the British following the drone strike last night.

If you fly across another countries airspace you should have agreed processes in place to stop this sort of thing happening. Were they in place?

Then why did Starmer tell the Cypriot President earlier and unequivocally that Cyprus had not been the target of those two missiles?

Sadly a lot of people protected by these reforms will willingly give their protections away by voting for Reform because they are ‘not across’ their policies.

That was predicted days ago.

And you’ll see the difference today as half of them are turned off or reprogrammed for an alternative attack.
