Amending commits is one of the best things I have learned when it has come to upping my dev game. My branches look so much cleaner now.

Hello, I hope you don’t mind my reaching out, this is Ben’s mum, Karen.
Ben allowed me access to his contacts and it’s lovely that you were in touch with him.
Sadly, after heroically standing up to the impact of cancer and 11 years of brutal treatments, our darling Ben passed away on 8th January

When you're at a gig and the bassist walks out with a five string bass, you know it is about to be the middest gig you've ever been to.

Is there anything worse than switching between programs that use CTRL+Y and CTRL+Shift+Z for redo?

After five years of development, I am thrilled to announce that Slimekeep has officially launched! That's right, you can play the game right now, and if you want to see the story of how the game was developed, also check out my recap devlog!

When one of my projects inevitably leads me to some old forum post, I always end up thinking that the old internet had so much class. What happened?

I'm trying to find a decent way of doing version control in an environment where git / perforce isn't really applicable (Word files etc). My best bet at the moment is just manual google drive backups.

I'm a big fan of git for personal projects, and I use it elsewhere too. I'm still not sure if perforce is the right tool for the job in this case.

How on earth do non-programmers do version control in big projects where you can't use git?

This is awful, endless backups of "Project - this one works" and "Project - this one really works".

That's a very fun fact :)

The concept of dependency injection was definitely made up by a programmer trying to make something seem complicated to a project manager.

Windows 3D viewer has caused me so many issues with its pitiful importer. Anything other than gltf and you'll be lucky to get all your materials or certs correct.

I'm at that stage of programming where I can fix other people's problems as well, and the dopamine rush hits so hard.

I'm sure we have good podcasts somewhere, but our media is of questionable quality and I get burned every time I look. I'll stick to music for long drives, I guess.
