as difficult as it can be to make choices rooted in what i can do today (not what was possible yesterday, or what i want to be possible again, or from now on), i find that i am happier with those choices than the other kind. as i approach 60 this is even more emphatically true.
i found an archival box of polaroid emulsion lift experiments while looking for/doing something else, & i can see i have a lot of scanning ahead of me. these are roughly 13-15 years old, if i recall correctly. i need to bookmark this post so i can share some of the images…they’re quite interesting.

powering through makes my migraines worse & throws them into a multi-day cycle that’s way more destructive/disruptive/damaging than the two hours of rest & single med that would have resolved the initial milder one. it’s hard-learned knowledge but vital.
