I attended my first county board meeting. I am 67 & I’ve never been to a board meeting. Disappointed does not begin to cover it. Our board is largely republican. There were motions made to spend money, but no one on the board had reports about generating revenue. I was very disheartened.

Time to dust off your voting supplies and vote EARLY. Something I didn’t know, if you vote early, you are removed from call lists and don’t get the endless robo calls during the election cycle. Worth it for me to vote early 🤣🤣

Today, over 100 people gathered for Macoupin county Democrats “brunch and ballots.” We had tasty breakfast treats, interesting speakers, including Senate primary candidate Kevin Ryan (and his dog) and incumbent House candidate Nikki Budzinski. A fun time was had by all.

Primary voting ends 3/17 Voting districts & mail in rules have changed. What’s your voting status? Where is your polling place? Do you need a ride?Voting early? Why do workers ask political affiliation in primary? In Macoupin county contact the clerk’s office for information. www.macoupinvotes.gov

47 will accept nothing but unconditional surrender. Look behind the curtain. Reports are out and US lost 92,000 jobs in Feb alone. The tactic is to distract and delay. Our country is not ok. Start keeping a list of the things you hear. The lies start to glare. Fight for your rights & drink water.

Trump fired DHS Sec. Kristi Noem amid scandals. Her raids killed many, including Alex Pretti and Renee Good. She lied, calling them terrorists. Bipartisan rage over abuses, wasted $, and Lewandowski affair. Her terrorism tanked deportations. Sen.Mullen (R) is assigned to clean up her mess #DHSfail.

Today, something more basic but still horrid.

What we learned:
-make sure you are still registered to vote
-check for your correct polling place today
-if you mail your ballot, remember the postmark is added when it reaches a major distribution center, not your local post office. Allow enough time
-vote early if you can to avoid problems

Turnout was high, many voters went to their usual polling place & were turned away, locations had changed. Some didn’t find their new polling place because the website crashed. Court disputes over extending voting hours happened. Ballots cast after 7 PM were set aside & may not be counted.
