Winter is that guy who's wasted knocking on your door after everyone has gone home from the party, yelling "HEY! HEY! HEEEEEYYYY! *RETCH* LET'S KEEP GOOOOOIIIIINNNGG!"

At the beginning of Season 3 I was too busy being wowed by the new spaceship to notice the hair. My 11 year-old brain just said "SPACESHIP! ASS-KICKING COOL SPACESHIP WITH SHOOTY PHASERS! PEWPEWPEW!"
I stand with Dr. T'Ana's "I didn't spend seven years on a fucking Oberth!" remark. That class of ships looks awkward and they're basically flying explosions waiting to happen!
The big ships aren't allowed to have necks anymore after the Odyssey got blown the heck up, and the fans decided that the Akira was the coolest ship design ever of all time. Also, minor spoiler alert for Alex if she's still watching this thread.
"Masks" is my always-skip-every-time episode, because it's just so dull. It doesn't have the "so bad it's hilarious" energy that "Justice" or "Sub Rosa" have, or the extremely cringey racism of "Code Of Honor," it's just 44 minutes of Brent Spiner doing his best with a mediocre Season 7 script.
I am continually amazed at the uncontrollable urge that children have to beat the everloving crap out of their parents, specifically their fathers if available.
Is there a chance the track could bend?
This mirrors what I've seen anecdotally; while there were a few men who studied Astronomy or Astrophysics when I did my Masters in 2008, most of the students studying cool space things were women. It probably helped that our faculty (U of Manitoba) had high profile female Astronomy faculty!
This is exactly the sort of humour that I feel is laser targeted at me, and is (partly) why I follow you!
"Dear Alex. How do you draw with boxing gloves on your hands?" 🫠
I forgot she popped up in season 1 of DS9! Her appearance there felt like a pretty natural cameo, slotting right into the cast as the show was still finding its feet.
I am so, so stoked to see what happens next! I also had a moment of "Holy CRAP I'm old!" when I realized I've been reading Barbarous since 2018. And Applegeeks back in 2004. :O
Every act of resistance to oppression, no matter how small it may seem, has an impact. Watch this story about the Norwegian women who sabotaged Nazi shirts during their occupation in World War II! www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LfJ...
I never was able to get a subscription to the various gaming magazines back in Ye Olden Times, but treasured the ones I was lucky enough to get. Now that I have the money to support good writing, I am happy to do so!
I can provide red light therapy for WAY less than what they'll charge you! I just need to be reimbursed for expenses. www.mec.ca/en/product/6...
There will be some who stay, but also a bunch who will then sell their nearly-new Lululemon gear at a low price or donate it to a thrift store the following year! :D
I just got an e-mail from PC Optimum saying that if I use their app, they'll give me a year-end wrap-up on my spending on groceries and drug store purchases. I hope we're getting closer to the low-point that leads us to the Star Trek future instead of a Cyberpunk future, but this doesn't help. 🫠
This is why one should always remember, ESPECIALLY on the Internet, that the failure mode of "clever" is "asshole": whatever.scalzi.com/2010/06/16/t...
For me, Destiny was a place to do some co-op shooty-shoot with my spouse so yes, getting the expansion was a way to keep playing with them. Once the main story was done in 2024, my non-interest in loot drops meant that there was nothing left for me and others like me to do. Big problem for Bungie!
Honestly, shocked that you didn't make this first!
Thank you for telling me about this! I switched to Apple Music to get better audio quality and a provider that wasn't actively shovelling money at Joe Rogan. I'll gladly switch to a service that pays their artists better, though!
I'll be replaying Freespace 2 until my poor, decrepit wrist can no longer manipulate a flight stick. I've been playing it for over 26 years!
That is the best case scenario!! I am happy that it's an awesome market.
It may have something to do with the fact that your stuff is Actual Art, and not someone's candles or MLM endeavour?
Are you referring to this sound bit that's burnt into my brain because of The Venture Bros? www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CQd...
We live in... well, not the WORST timeline, but certainly not the best one!
Gates McFadden COMMITTED to this episode, and it's so bonkers it's awesome. You're also just a few episodes away from Genesis, aka "The One Where Everyone Becomes A Literal Monster."
I am imagining Robert O'Reilley (Gowron) yelling at me to "Stop cutting your steak like a P'TAK and purchase cutlery with HONOR!"
$12 gets photos of people reacting to the nasal rinse, and not seeing the nasal rinse itself. $20 and you get to send the nasal rinse photos to the $12 patrons via DM.
After spending some time recently playing games from around 1998/1999, the prospect of going back to using random developers around the studio seems not too terrible. If we're going back to smaller productions, why not enjoy some lower production value?
