Proud of my mother Brenda Gould @451book.bsky.social who addressed Oregon Senator Ron Wyden @wyden.senate.gov on Friday 3 April at his Medford Town Hall meeting and called on him to block US arms sales to Israel

"There is no justification for Congress to prioritize funding an unnecessary war while failing to invest in urgent domestic needs—like preventing millions of people from losing access to health care and food assistance."

To whoever did this at the #NoKings in Boston: Thank you.❤️
It made me tear up. And we must to be reminded of needless damage to humanity that results directly from the careless, bellicose bluster coming from the Pentagon and White House.

My talk on translating Palestine at The University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez, where Palestine 🇵🇸 solidarity is alive and well.
Great questions from an engaged audience! One of the few places in the US where a conversation like this is a possible in an institutional setting

President Trump is again trying to restrict our free press in a time we need it most – another foreign war. We’ll fight any attempts to restrict the truth from the American people.

A message for 🇪🇺President @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu and 🇩🇪Chancellor Merz: "You can't support those who set the world on fire and then blame the smoke caused by the fire."
In an era where most of Europe's leaders are so spineless, Pedro Sanchez really stands out.
As the death toll climbs higher each day, we must remember:
Those being killed are not statistics. They are real people who had loved ones. Who had hopes and dreams.
Our leaders have a moral duty to stop this killing.
Nasser Abu Srour
In my interview with Palestinian writer & former political prisoner Nasser Abu Srour I was struck by how closely his aesthetic aligns with Ghassan Kanafani:
“Writers are obliged to reflect the reality in which they live. We don’t need symbolism or allegory. We need writing that conveys reality.”

🚨 BREAKING | The whereabouts and health status of Palestinian resident of Paterson, New Jersey, Leqaa Kordia remain unconfirmed as of Sunday evening, her family and legal team say, following her emergency hospitalization on Friday. Kordia on February 6 reportedly suffered a medical emergency—identified by a formerly detained individual as a fall resulting in a head injury and seizure—at the Prairieland Detention Center in Texas. Her legal team contacted 16 hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but none confirmed she was a patient. While ICE officials confirmed to her attorneys on Saturday morning that she was hospitalized, they did not disclose the facility's name or her current condition. Kordia has been in ICE custody for nearly a year, since March 13, 2025, when she was detained during a routine immigration check-in. Advocates and legal filings strongly suggest she was targeted by the Trump administration for her pro-Palestinian activism, specifically her participation in the 2024 Columbia University protests. Despite an immigration judge twice ordering her release on bond, ICE has utilized "automatic stays" to keep her detained.
Dr. Omar Suleiman @omarsuleiman We can’t find Leqaa Kordia in any hospital. This is abduction upon abduction. Please help us get the word out and pray for her. She truly is a light being kept in dark dungeons. http://Bit.ly/freeleqaa

Her whereabouts & health are now unknown.
The Trump admin alleges she supports Hamas because…she sent money to help family in Gaza.

This is the best podcast I have heard on the Iran uprising and massacres of 2026. I encourage everyone to listen to it. Chowra Makaremi @chowmak.bsky.social and Amir Ahmadi Arian say important things here which I have not heard so clearly stated elsewhere.

Israel killed 31 Palestinians in Gaza today. Women, children, grandparents, during a ceasefire. Thirty one lives erased, and the world barely pauses. We can’t keep allowing our government to bankroll and shield this brutality. Cut U.S. support for this genocidal regime. Free Palestine.
