Just a thought I had after reading Red Shirt Guy's analysis of Midnight.

This isn't a subtle callout of anyone in particular, just a sentiment I see deployed constantly against him and I'm like, "I've never felt this, they've sufficiently explained why he acts the way he does to me. More than sufficiently."

I genuinely do not understand people whose primary criticism of Arator is that he acts too young. They go to dramatic detail across the game dialogue, the novella, the audios, ect, to show that his growth was damaged by the trauma of his parents' absence and the weird feelings he has of their return

Yes the Dawnwell conclusion is sloppy. Its rushed I guess, but its been nearly THIRTY YEARS of this "infighting backstabbing Elves" plot, when are we going to bury the hatchet and just move. on. to something else they can do?!?

I have a working theory that people who are the most loudly complaining both want:

a.) Story focused entirely around their niche.

b.) But make sure to never change, update, adapt, or complete any arc that has existed since literally Warcraft 2 and any deviation is sacrilege.

There's no winning.

Just as a 20+ year WoW player & fan, holy shit Im so tired of these people acting like 3 year olds throwing a temper tantrum because their stupid niche headcanon didn't happen and they just want the plot to be wheelspinning themes from 30 years ago

I saw some people saying it was as bad or worse than Shadowlands and at that point I just have to disengage completely, because you're so incredibly lost at that point that you're living in an alternate reality where you just /want/ to be upset.

I am a little surprised that in the timeskip he's not higher on the Hero ranking, because just imagine if he was Mirio's sidekick, he could be #2 because he's just copying his quirk. And having two people with the #1 hero's quirk at all time sounds insane.

(Or worse---makes me actively despise the people doomsdaying and making me enjoy them being miserable. Which is weird and sucks but holy shit some people need to get a grip)

Its frustrating because there is definitely a place where we should be able to discuss criticisms of the story, but the people who are upset by it are SO upset that they are acting like they themselves are literally dying and being so overly dramatic and it makes me want to not even engage.

I also really love the implication that he actively watched Bakugo die and then afterwards you see them hanging out all the time like Monoma is looking after him because he began to care for him. You see him following him in graduation and the party after T_T.

Rewatching the final two seasons of #MyHeroAcademia #MHA again and man its crazy how much Monoma is literally the MVP that without, they would have instantly lost the final battle. It's so crazy. As a fan of him, I love that the final arc finally gives him his time to shine.

Or for example, Magister's Terrace with Umbric, Rommath, Lor'themar and throw in a 4th, Liadrin maybe. SINCE THAT'S THE PREMISE OF THE DUNGEON ANYWAY.

The whole time Umbric and Rommath bickering like the exes they so clearly are while Lor'themar is just like jfc.

Every time I ran a follower dungeon I had to make a joke of it to myself to stop myself from going crazy. I gave him the, "Am I doing good, boss?" dumb guy voice every time he's run off and go pull something.

In Maisara Caverns especially, that dumbass bitch hunter kept running and pulling packs we had ALREADY GOTTEN PAST and were fighting the pack ahead!

Canonically they're all there anyway!

Even if nothing changed about the story at all, criticisms included from everybody included, how much more urgent would say, Nexus-Point Xenas feel if you were accompanied by Alleria, Turalyon, Umbric, and Arator instead of Captain Garrick and the bumblefuck squad.

Or Umbric for like the last 35% of the story is just following you around, put his ass in the fights!

True but Garrick and her son and the Orc are like barely characters.

For Windrunner Spire, for example, if Halduron is like go there and get shit, how hard would it be for them to just have him be one of the dps party members.

Then you have the seasoned war hero Estinien who successfully dodges every single mechanic & has little custom phrases when talking to other people, specifically Alphinaud, telling him to watch out or follow his lead.

Then you have Y'shtola who acts like a player Mage and does not want to move lol

Giving the npcs quirks would be such a fun addition like how FF14 does.

Alphinaud, for example, is young and so sometimes he gets hits by mechanics when trying to heal others.

His sister is constantly fighting with you to use the Limit Break asap.
