Most people find it relatively easy to sail from Knowing Island to Doing Island. Once they’ve built a boat, they can always paddle to Knowing Island.
But if you’re ADHD, it feels like you have to build a new boat every time you want to get from Knowing Island to Doing Island. 😮💨

Best decision I’ve made lately: rewatching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
It’s so funny to see what was acceptable then but now now. A ton of the stuff we complain about now is the same stuff people were complaining about then.
Funny how some stuff just doesn’t change.
It becomes a guessing game of “Is this pending weird compliment due to a quirk of the neurospice or not?” 😂 Either way, I’ll take it.

Had the house cleaned while Nate was at my parents and I worked.
I then picked up Nate so the cleaners could go to my parent’s house to clean.
Upon arriving home, Nate walked into the bedroom and yelled, “What happened?! What could it be?!”
So I think it’s safe to say they did a good job. 😂

I struggled significantly with school and making friends.
Home life was supportive and loving.
I had assumed that my memory issues stemmed from ADHD, compounded by a lack of ability to visualize.

Me: Enthusiastically approves
Friend: Stop validating my ideas and tell me to focus on what I have going on.
Me: You came to the wrong friend for that.
*5 minutes later*
Me: Tell me if you end up doing it.
Friend: I already bought the domain.

I don’t write, but I have my Project Graveyard. I visit it occasionally, leave metaphorical flowers, and say a few kind words for the intentions I had. 🪦 💐
We really need a chain of custody on that thing.
1. I have an emotional memory. I mostly remember things that provoked a strong reaction.
2. Zero ability to visualize in my mind (Aphantasia), which I think hurts my memory.
3. My brain auto data dumps details once a conclusion is made.
4. I don’t remember much of my childhood.

I distinctly remember seeing this movie in theaters with my parents and they were laughing their asses off.
I did NOT understand why it was all so funny. 😤
But remembering that makes it even funnier to watch now.
I’m excita-scared for Shrek 5. 😬
Watch the scene where Lord Farquad is in bed, watching Fiona in the Magic Mirror over and over again.
The movie is full of sly adult humor. Still a favorite.

My favorite, non-family related dopamine hit: giving weird ideas to an artist I work with just to see what they come up with. 😂 At least I’m helping employ someone talented with my fixes.
