Huge turnout of 250+ people at a rally and march to demand Sound Transit build light rail to Ballard as promised in the voter-approved ST3 ballot measure.

Cardinal Cupich: "We're dehumanizing the victims of war by turning the suffering of people & killing of children & our own soldiers into entertainment. To splice together movie cuts w/ actual bombings & targeting of people for purposes of entertainment is sickening. This is not who we are."
Empty northbound lane on MLK Way.
Northbound MLK Way is down to one lane near Dawson St. During rush hour, this causes a traffic jam that can be measured in miles.
0.0 miles, to be exact.

Out of desperation, Trump is preparing an unconditional surrender to Iran in the war he started for no reason.
No one uses it, let's get rid of that ugly nasty thing.
Every single day from 2008 to 2020 I walked to work because I couldn't count on the Route 8 showing up and actually getting me there on time and THIS MONTH we're getting a plan to fix that, from a Mayor who actually cares about this.
We need to go taller, denser, and faster. That's why we're taking bold steps to meet the scale of our housing crisis by combining and accelerating the next phases of Seattle’s Comprehensive Plan.
Speeches are underway outside Judkins Park Station and officials are about to cut the ribbon on the 2 Line Crosslake Connection. After a few more speeches.

I'm offended on behalf of Christians as someone who has actually read a lot of the new testament.
It's been a minute, but I don't think that part of the Jesus rap is fuzzy.
This is a good question - sadly I have no idea. I remember thinking there might be some opportunities in cap and trade for transit but I don't remember the caveats at all.
I know I've said this a trillion times but I have to say it periodically to keep from going insane:
The right ran a huge, well-funded, & ultimately successful campaign to completely take over political media & the infosphere more generally. This is by far the most important political development...
It is ultimately my patriotism that drives my bitter disappointment in what is happening here.
Ding ding ding
Both of those problems are deeply solvable.
The "ripping up the street" problem already exists for water and natural gas hookups.
Seems like you don't have to be all that creative to find coordination benefits.
I think burying power lines is good for aesthetic, resilience, and safety reasons.
The problem here is uncertain/excessive standards and onerous permitting requirements.
It’s also crazy how democrats funnel tons of money into deep red rural areas while republicans do everything they can to defund blue cities
When you realize that this is about a personal preference that no housing be built anywhere they can see it...
and that they could give two fucks about the negative impacts of that...
Everything they say and do makes more sense.
*Except East Link - that rules.
I made this helpful flow chart a year ago. I really feel like it's held up.
Whooooo!!!!!
(Other direction)
It was pretty wild how smooth the transition was. Didn't feel it at all on one side and minor jitter on the other.
In a word: Whoooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Lanyard for access to employee East Link ride
Getting ready to ride a train, wheeeeeee!

a slurring Trump in new video on American troops killed by Iran: “Sadly, there will likely be more before it ends. That's the way it is. Likely be more.“
What's more shocking than ICE's plan to cram as many 8,500 humans into massive, soul-crushing warehouses?
Seeing the actual DHS floor plan that echoes slavery ships and history's worst gulags with no rec space but a gun range for guards
My new column on the camps www.inquirer.com/opinion/ice-...
America has a loneliness epidemic. Sticking people into crowded ICE detention facilities could cure it.
Hemingway was once bet that he couldn’t write the world’s happiest short story in just 5 words. He replied,
I think it’s pretty clear this is all extremely intentional.
The media has refused to cover Trump as he actually is for 10 years: a corrupt, racist imbecile.
It’s intentional.
These way out of proportion attacks on AOC, smarter than Trump in every way, are intentional.
