My first concert was Ozzy at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque in 1982. Needless to say my teenage brain exploded and I was forever hooked on live music. RIP dark prince 🦇

Captivating biography of John McGeoch, one of my guitar heroes. He died too young but left an undeniable and indelible mark on music. #magazine #siouxsiesiouxandthebanshees #publicimageltd

ai-2027.com lays out a sobering, informative, thought-provoking prediction about how AI is and will change life as we know it. I don’t think most people realize how dramatically and how quickly everything is changing. The Singularity is here. #requiredreading

Sunday morning mood. Wikipedia says the Ghetto Brothers “were a gang and music group founded in New York City’s South Bronx in the late 1960s.” This is treasure trove of gems, fusing Beatles-esque pop sensibilities with Afro-Latin blues, salsa, soul, and sprinklings of freakbeat. #nowplaying

Saturday morning mood. Bowie’s Young Americans is nearly flawless IMO. I sometimes skip the All Across The Universe cover but have warmed up to it recently. #nowplaying

Michael Head’s earlier bands The Pale Fountains and Shack didn’t resonate with me when I first heard them back in the 80s/90s but I absolutely love this one which came out in 2024. Now I’m having fun discovering the genius in his earlier work that I missed the first time around. #nowplaying

I’m late to the Koss KPH40 game…how can a pair of $29 headphones sound so good??? These have been hyped in audiophile and head-fi forums for awhile now, and I refused to believe it. Boy was I wrong…these are glorious! Highly recommend to, well, everyone! #budgetaudiophile #headphones #koss

A triple album of beautiful songs that draw from a range of influences (Peggy Lee, Ronettes, Velvet Underground immediately come to mind) but sound uniquely original at the same time. The album has a lo-fi DIY vibe without sounding lazy or pretentious. IMO this is Patrick Flegel’s magnus opus.
