The fall starts in October, which is also when Linda meets Jack Frost. He shows her how he can make frost blossom, but when he’s not flicking paper footballs to annoy their science teacher, Linda realizes that he’s hiding a secret bigger than his identity. But so is her new friend, Lavender… 🍂

Nerdy fun fact about my book: the name of Jack Frost’s magical world is Pryddia, which I derived from the name “Pryderi” in the medieval Welsh Mabinogion. “Pryderi” means “concern”/“mother’s concern” and Pryddia is Mother Nature’s concern :)

Digital illustration of a yellow two headed dragon with outstretched, patterned wings. The dragon has a very symmetrical, balanced pose, its two heads looking at each other, noses down, while its arms are outstretched at its sides. Its back legs are gathered underneath it, while its tail swoops gracefully below. The dragon's wings have an eye-like, scale pattern. Its has two horns, vacant, blue eyes, long ears, a beard, and a mane. Its also has hair underneath its arms. The whole dragon has a metallic sheen. Typed below it are the words "LIBRA" and "September 23 - October 22"

It started with a notebook when I was 12. Then another. Then it became a story I couldn’t let go. A lonely girl. A boy made of frost. How far can you go for someone you just met?
The Fall of Linda Waters comes out September 1!

It took Tolkien 17 years to write LOTR, it took Mia P. Manansala 1.5 years to write Arsenic and Adobo, and it took Ray Bradbury 9 days to write Fahrenheit 451. It took me 12 years to write The Fall of Linda Waters, coming out Sept. 1!

Does anyone else get their story ideas from dreams or visions? Once I learned about the folklore character Jack Frost, 12 year old me ran with it. ❄️

I think one of the hardest parts of being an author is finding time to write during crazy work weeks
