These pixels suggest a flock of cattle egrets
Brief stop at CWP Pit 74 on Thursday. 13 Cattle Egret were distant and only confirmed when I reviewed the pixels / pics today. Again no idea if this is noteworthy for the area. #UKbirding
Merlin seems to frustrate and delight in equal measure. Redstart calls are always chaffinches and this morning garden was a blackcap but yesterday’s garden was one. I saw it well. - TBF I tried it near a marsh warbler and it corrected itself quickly after going through a candidate list!
