The republican ticket never had much going for them there, but with personalities like Harris and Walz??

So unmatched that they calculated it’s better to come off as an coward avoiding the damn thing than get humilated on national television

The debates are going to be brutal.

Can’t wait

Why are MAGAs and Christian Nationalists committed to ruin or sour anything that brings joy or compadre to the world?

So weird

I dunno if it’s because I’ve been teaching Latin American lit, but there were some strong
Spanglish themes and imagery! Jaime Reyes rocked. Reyes family are the headliners here! Nana is a badass

The movie was joy to watch

is not going to get any traction in theaters. I wouldn’t be surprised if Aquaman barely makes it to 500 mil despite the 1st movie garnering over 1 bil, much less a new DC character jumping onboard

Blue Beetle was a delightful romp and fantastic addition to DC Universe films

If it was released before The Flash, it would’ve gotten a different reception

The Flash was probably the straw that broke DCU fans’ will to invest in the movies. Anything that came after while also before Gunn’a revamp

There’s something about Morgan Jenske’s art. Took me awhile to get used to it, but I am absolutely in love with it

The new Wonder Woman series is shaping up to be one vicious commentary on America and I, for one, can’t wait.

The Flash is compelling! Not sure where it is going, but I’m here for the ride.

DC is at the peak of their game under the new management. And I love it

Book Club - Uncanny Magazine Your mother is dying What do you read to her?   During the pandemic, she started an online book club For her school-aged grandchildren Now they’re lounging in the cool, dark house But she’s too t...

Just felt like sharing "Book Club" again, a poem I wrote about reading Ray Bradbury with kids and the death of my mom. Might be one of the best things I've ever written. www.uncannymagazine.com/article/book...

As much fun as that mini series was, the series that followed redefined the word ‘epic’

Keith Giffen was one of the most brilliantly creative humans I’ve ever known.  A curmudgeon with a heart of gold.  A generous collaborator.  An old, dear friend.  And, as my wife observed, “He was like a character out of a Keith Giffen story.”  So true!

Safe travels, Keith.  You will be, missed.

This war is tragedy not simply because people are suffering and dying.

It is tragedy because it is ultimately a failure in diplomacy. A failure that was enabled by people over years who rode into power on wave of hate and vengeance

Tragedy cos people chose the path that could only lead to war

Certainly not after watching the world stand by and passively enabling Israeli apartheid

Netanyahu’s policies (and Israel as whole) have been wildly destructive to the Palestinian communities for decades.

I don’t know what thinking behind this invasion is, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they felt as if they didn’t have any other legitimate recourse to protect their people

I know the current media narrative is bent in Israel’s favor.

But if you think this halfbreed Jewish dude would be on the side of the warmongering hard right prime minister who was indicted for corruption in midst of power struggle with Israel’s own judicial system, you couldn’t be more wrong

And of course Jim Jordan was just endorsed by Trump.

At least Jim Jordan would be in his natural state as a Speaker— enabling rapists and molesters in position of power
