Shao Kahn update: last night he came to help co-host trivia with me and my friend Phillip. He was extremely popular and got a million pets. The bartender got him his own little cup of pepperoni when she delivered our pizza. Once a brewery dog, always a brewery dog. 😊

I’ve never done anything with APS other than CU*IP. I feel like I’m just getting worse and worse at being social the older I get though. I feel kinda lost because my primary professional society kinda… it’s a long story but they’ve basically imploded. I’m not like a “real” physicist tho so

I miss going places and making friends. I feel so isolated when I go to conferences the last few years. I’m an extrovert, yo.

I don’t post much anymore, but I know a lot of my old school internet friends are here. Unfortunately Shao Kahn has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of melanoma that’s already metastasized to his lungs. He’s still doing ok for now, but we have moved to palliative care only.
