On positive note:
I still remember 20% of good professors. They had burning desire and passion, they showed us ideas and meanings. Also they kind of gave me an idea why I could try to do some teaching, when I get older. Still laughing on my failed practical lab, when prof joked on my confidence.

At least now, I'm looking at this philosophically - I have memories, and some times skills that I never thought will be handful in my life. With current AI-landscape it looks a bit *cheaper*, but cmon, it took a part of making me and my thoughts. Even through this struggle.

Hm! Kind of same. I picked uni *in the middle* of their ladder, but at least I got budget place there - so there was a strong intent to finish it in any way. Also we had "pre-AI" checks for authenticity, which had the same issue you mention. *At least* it was possible to argue your way out.

In contrast, I had a couple friends studying medical disciplines, and they were completely assured that their knowledge is top-notch. It came out that "top-notch" knowledge needs special applications which are not available. That hit them much harder, because it hit them in full force, at once.

They just *slow* and kind of stupid? I can't compare my student time (bc it's a different country) BUT:
I had gut feel that around 80% of my lectures are bad. Heavy impostor syndrome about time in Uni at general. It gave me a meaning to look for good professors and will to try something by myself.
