Common knowledge, but still worth mentioning - make sure to try using "Data transfer" modifier in blender. It has multiple useful functions plus it allows to transfer shading/normals from a picked object. Tick "Face corner data" in drop down menu and select custom normals. #blender #b3d #3d #bnpr

I've been able to make shadows snappy by using "mark sharp" function on edges first and then editing normals. See result on a gif! #anime #3danime #3d #blender #b3d #normals #vertexnormals #toon #art #techart

Topology for custom vertex normals in question. Base is done in 3ds max and critical adjustments are made in blender. #art #3d #3dart #anime #3danime #3dsmax #blender #b3d

Custom vertex normals with blender. Not too clean, but I got npr shadows to work. I used "Abnormal" plugin for blender to do it. Keep it mind you need specific topology for shading to work properly. #anime #3danime #3d #blender #b3d #normals #vertexnormals #toon #art #techart

It is easy to use perspective match tools in 3ds max to make simple backgrounds. I made a simple road mesh and used voronoi fracture script to destroy it #3d #3dsmax #3dto2d
