"Watching a show like Trojans, you can feel a bit more human, you get to see the sweat, and the struggle and the difficulty and the challenge, and that’s life – and nothing’s changed." - Choreographer Philip Connaughton for @rte.ie Culture.

🗣Choreographers & composers from/or based in the North or South of Ireland to apply for a two-stage shared island residency project @maidenvoyage.bsky.social

Resonant Bodies/ Shared Sounds is the second edition of Luail’s Moving in Collaboration programme and is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Shared Island Civic Society Fund, along with our funders, The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
We encourage applications from professional choreographers and composers regardless of ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, race or socio-economic circumstances. We are open to discussing additional supports for those who require them.
Makers and performers from all forms, styles and cultures are welcome, including traditional arts, improvisatory practices and hip-hop.
Following this process, one choreographer and one composer may be invited to undertake further creative development in Dublin with the Luail Ensemble in November.
The residency will bring 21 artists together for creative exchange from 20–25 July 2026 at the Crescent Arts Centre in Belfast, guided by choreographers Jonathan Burrows and Liz Roche, and composer Brian Irvine.
Luail invites professional choreographers and composers based in the North or South of Ireland to apply for Resonant Bodies / Shared Sounds, a two-stage shared island residency project, hosted in partnership with Maiden Voyage Dance.
Application Deadline: 20/Mar/26, 5pm

The company began the year with Lucas Condró Asymmetrical-Motion workshops, including sessions with the ensemble and an open workshop for the wider community. Three days of tuning into our bodies, and noticing the details in how we move was a perfect way to start the year.

Deeply saddened to hear of Seán Rocks’ passing. A brilliant broadcaster, actor, and true champion of the arts. His warmth, intelligence, and curiosity shone in every conversation.
He’ll be deeply missed. Sincere condolences to his loved ones.
