Our Year 10 geographers have been busy! After completing their human fieldwork in Slapton, students headed to Plymouth to evaluate the success of waterfront regeneration.
They explored the coastline, uncovered evidence of the city’s naval past, and visited Royal William Yard and Mount Wise.

Comic Relief Day brought all the fun to ICC — red gear everywhere, quizzes galore, creative nose‑decorating and an EPIC Battle of the Bands!

Sister Act auditions are this Weds(18 March) after school. A fantastic opportunity to join something fun, creative & unforgettable.

Arwen & Evie, in Y8, took on the Buckinghamshire Scouts Endurance Event on Saturday; completing a grueling 40km hike across the Chiltern Hills in just 11.5 hrs!
They showed resilience, teamwork and kindness throughout, supporting each other (and other walkers) in very tough, muddy conditions.
Last week, a group of keen Y9 linguists participated in a Creative Translation Workshop in German.
The session was run by Oxford University ambassadors and they were incredibly impressed with our students and their translation skills!
World Book Day at ICC has been bursting with excitement!
Students have been taking part in Guess the Teacher Reading, tackling book quizzes, racing through a scavenger hunt, and filling our library with enthusiasm and a love of reading.

Well, it’s not every day you get to meet a real‑life astronaut, but Year 8 did today
Chris Sembroski joined us to share the incredible story of his space mission and to answer students’ questions. And yes… someone did ask how you go to the toilet in space. Let's be honest, we all want to know!
Last term we celebrated Women in Science Day with a scavenger‑hunt challenge!
Students explored posters around the building to discover fascinating facts about inspiring women in science, then returned their completed slips for a chance to win.

Y7 have been treated to a fantastic STEM performance by a travelling theatre group representing The Royal Air Force BAE Systems and The Royal Navy.
The production showcased science focusing on the ‘Material World’. Students had a great time and learned through a fun performance!
What a day for ICC at the UKMT Team Maths Challenge Regional Final!
Our team absolutely shone, tackling complex problems with skill, teamwork, and fierce determination. We couldn’t be prouder of their brilliant performance. Outstanding work, team!
Nothing says ‘first day back’ at school like ICC in full display; Integrity, Care and Commitment shown beautifully by our Year 8 dancers!
We’re ending this half term with a collection of moments that made us smile - from Y7 proudly receiving their Values Badges, to the very hungry caterpillar, tiramisu, dance formations, hair raising Science and The Lion King!

Maths brains in action!
16 ICC students took on the Acer Maths Challenge this week, forming four teams — and came 2nd and 4th overall!

Year 8s have been learning valuable first aid skills in Citizenship, such as how to make a sling to support a broken arm.
We hope they never have to use this skill, but it is great to know that they now could if needed!
It’s all about year 9 in the gallery this term. Their wonderful responses to famous art works are proudly centre stage!
Starting the week with pizza? Yes please!
Y8 have been experimenting with pizza. From making their own dough and choosing creative toppings, learning never tasted so good!
Italian Club went molto bene this week!
Students showcased Italian regions through creativity, cake and art - featuring a Leaning Tower of Pisa bake, a stunning Calabria painting, and some very tempting cupcakes!

Year 7 have been practicing their oracy in Geography, while demonstrating geographical skills.
They have been reading choropleth maps and describing them to their partners to help answer the question: Is the UK a fair place to live?
