One hour and 17 restarts later (or "power cycles"as Mr. IT @davidharper.bsky.social calls them), this is the only evidence that remains of the now "lost episode" with @mouthdork.bsky.social and David. What did we do to deserve this Riverside?

This is entry #3 in my Hip-Hop sketchbook project. It joins these two:
Slick Rick by @thekylestarks.bsky.social and @mahdikhene.bsky.social
I’m at Collective Con, and I asked Andrew Robinson for a #jayz sketch
And he delivered a classic 🔥
I’m assuming these are all the great Luchadores that have fought and performed in this stadium.
My amateur videos don’t capture even a fraction of the energy you feel in person at a Lucha Libre event. The crowd is HYPE from the first round to the last. Obscenities and “Mexico” chants for three hours straight without a dip in enthusiasm or passion. Just incredible
If I come across another one I got you
I haaaate that I can’t upload video to a thread. FFS BS
This was one of the best sporting events I ever went to. I felt like a superhero last night. I lost my voice, drank a couple of Micheladas, and watched a Luchadores lose his mask! I can’t recommend watching a Lucha Libre in Mexico enough.
I had no idea this was a thing but I’m dumb excited now
The production quality on the first episode is really good! Especially the video version of the episode 👍👍
You described it perfectly. I actually felt bad turning the page at “that part” #iykyk
A second print worth seeking out is Assorted Crisis Events #8. It’s printed on newsprint and worth every penny. @denizcamp.bsky.social, whose idea was it for the newsprint, and where do I sign the petition to make this the industry default again?
This is an insane deal. Thanks for sharing!
If you want to learn more about Tyrant, or hear some incredible stories about Saga of The Swamp Thing, or learn some interesting dinosaur facts (he's chockfull of them), check out the full interview!

The good news is that @lighthousecomics.co.uk is collecting & re-releasing Bissette's dinosaur masterpiece in both complete and original art editions later this month (with help from the talented Jim Rugg!)
Here's Bissette talking about his original plans for Tyrant and the golden years of indie publishing. Tyrant sold 30k+ copies per issues before Diamond went exclusive
Can you imagine retiring from comics at the height of your career and skills?
That's what Eisner Hall of Fame legend Stephen Bissette was forced to do in the late 90's after the implosion of the direct market. Leaving behind one of the best dinosaur comics of all time unfinished
Everyone should be subbed to @badrm.bsky.social's Short Box Podcast.
Thanks, man! Means a lot coming from you
Mike was kind enough to share not only his time, but also a lot of great insight his artistic process, and an insane amount of love was shown to Jack Kirby in the full interview

Yes! This is the one I’ve been waiting on. A Stephanie
@cliffchiang.bsky.social was gracious enough to share his time and a number of BTS stories and process talk on the latest podcast. It was one of those interviews that left me wanting to revisit all of Cliff's bibliography again

We ALMOST got a pulpy noir Batman comic from Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang before DC New 52...but it never happened. I've been mad thinking about it since Cliff shared the story with me
Big shout-outs to @jimzub.bsky.social for sharing some incredible stories and introspection from his tenured career. Talk about a great way to kick off a new year of podcasting

Here's world renowned comic writer, @jimzub.bsky.social explaining why Conan is STILL one of the most iconic and popular characters in not just the sword and fantasy genre, but all of pop-culture
Besides Conan comics, what's best in life?
